Our local texaco garage has stopped putting the price up so that we can see how much it is. I’m not sure if this is legal? We haven’t needed to fill up yet though.

The BP station on the A5 past Weston Park had unleaded for £1.52 the other day, 7p cheaper than Asda Donnington, but their diesel was dearer than Asda at £1.77.

11 days since your crazy brag, still no change in prices at the pump. ( not even since the mini budget 2 weeks ago) The much vaunted Grindley Brook station now has Unleaded at 154.9p 2 weeks ago this was 147.9p, 4 weeks ago was 145.9p... sharp rises Their prices are more reflective of the market, not Supermarkets who have consistently been ripping us off, so don't need to instantly react - they are still above where they should be! It's almost like the pound is actually lower than it was pre "mini budget" still and that's starting to be reflected in fuel prices.

Know where you mean but never stopped there as their fuel was always far to expensive compared to the supermarkets. How times change, how we are being ripped off.....

just as prices were coming down Opec do this; Saudi Arabia seem to be pushing this i suspect some of this is greed and some of it is down to Saudia Arabia and the US having a handbag moment . www.theguardian.com/business/2022/oct/05/fears-grow-over-oil-price-as-opec-agrees-to-cut-output"The Opec oil cartel and its allies have agreed to a bigger than expected cut in oil production targets despite significant pressure from the US. The Opec+ group of oil-producing nations signed up to a cut in output of 2m barrels a day, surpassing predictions earlier in the week of cuts of 1m to 1.5m barrels, squeezing supplies in a tight market. The decision, led by Saudi Arabia and Russia, sent the price of Brent crude up 2% at $93.80, its highest since 15 September."

Elsewhere up the chain has long been greedy too. Seems the only people in the equation who cant be greedy are the poor end users 😡

Asda Donnington 160.9 Esso Halesfield 159.9
Cheapest I've seen around Telford. The big rip off in towns continues. Might take a trip up to Grindley Brook when i need to fill up again.

I think Four Crosses garage at Bicton is at 154.9 which is lower than The Mount Garage at 155.9 It’s hard to keep up these days with prices changing . I dont know how much the garage at Nescliff is charging now but at one time it was the cheapest around these parts . Anyhow I understand prices are likely to rise thanks to Jeremy Hunt by a considerable amount- we shall see .

It now seems the norm for diesel to cost 20/25p a litre more than petrol, that’s nearly £1.50 a gallon for a lower cost to produce product with lower duty. I’ve noticed garages (and the media) concentrating on headline ‘petrol’ prices when they use diesel to ‘windfall’ their profits. More petrol cars but much more diesel sold and affecting food prices / inflation…. Just checked seems similar across Europe with some exceptions www.cargopedia.net/europe-fuel-prices

I recently returned from France where I was paying about £1.70 for diesel the cheapest I got was £1.57p. I’m currently in the North East and most main road garages are £1.88 but I got £1.79 in Berwick Asda today.

141.9 at Grindley Brook today for Unleaded Cheapest in Telford is Furrows, Halesfield. 157.9 nothing to shout about and still making loads out of it. Before this all kicked off they used to be pretty much the dearest. Just shows how much the supermarkets are coining in.

Came through Welshpool today and needed diesel. Drove past Ballard on Brook Street to see £1.79 carried on to Tesco’s (cos I couldn’t get on the forecourt with a trailer) where I paid £1.86.9 …makes no sense.
