I’m far from the biggest united fan and don’t usually mind a laugh at their expense but the decision to cancel out the goal v Spurs is showing VAR has gone beyond.
It’s not stopping inconsistency it’s just changing it. Football decisions are so subjective the technology isn’t helping refs and they are damned if they do overturn and damned if they don’t.

Wasn’t too dissimilar to what Aurier did to Rashford about 5 mins earlier. Difference was it was thay one was in the penalty area. Referee on the pitch = inconsistent VAR = inconsistent

Liverpool, Man Utd and Wolves all getting screwed over by the VAR in the same weekend surely blows any conspiracy theories that it favours certain teams.

Just looking at that picture it makes me wonder if there is contact between the two players and one is pushing the other into an offside position. Not a deliberate shove, but just enough of a nudge to give them a couple of inches.

Nice try but Liverpool didn’t , they had a player offside Or did you mean var screwed them by not gifting them a penalty for nothing ? 😜 And that’s why VAR will never solve anything. In both situations the attackers arm is marginally ahead of the defenders knee. In one wolves are screwed over in the other the player is “clearly offside”. In football the person making the judgement is influenced by the shirt the player is wearing. Whether it’s refs or VAR the team the decision goes for or against is more influential than the facts. Still makes for a never ending debate 😁

And so it continues, Sky Sports have confirmed VAR officially couldn’t draw the lines properly so the on field decision stood despite the Southampton players heel playing playing him onside.
VAR HAS FAILED YET AGAIN!!!

looks fractionally off to me, I think they should wear green boots and socks ;-) Ok, it’s close but the Southampton players heel was the furthest back part of the body not his toes that are on the ground where the only line was drawn. Point is why on earth could they unable to draw both the lines? What excuse is there? Let’s see what they say at half time.

So the other West Brom player was blocking the view of the line - kind of fair enough but I feel it’s onside. Could they not have the technology to do it from both sides? VAR should’ve made a call rather than automatically sticking with the on field decision. Jamie Carragher Definitely thought it was onside and the others seemed to think it too.

maybe its just me but I cant see that hes onside The no.5 Bartley wasn’t the player who had the goal disallowed, it’s his body that’s blocking the line as I’ve referred to above. It was Diagne who had the goal disallowed but they couldn’t see where the furthest part of his body was. I still insist it’s onside 👍

However still always find it odd that player in 6 yard box isn’t interfering with play. Technically he doesn’t get involved but as a defender you move out to catch someone offside so it affects your movement and thinking even if they don’t go on to get involved in the play.
