The way VAR is used is diabolical. No one knows if it's a goal anymore because they can go back half an hour to see if there was an infringement. Either it should be used to sort out fundamental goal line decisions (ie was it a goal or not) or each team is given two reviews per game. VAR will spoil the game as more players appeal against more decisions. They'll be appealing over whose throw in it is soon. If VAR doesn't have a vastly reduced remit, what's the point of paying referees and linos big salaries?
I hope it doesn't come any where near our league and that's knowing how generally poor the refs are at our level. But I'd rather that than having to wait to see if I can celebrate a goal which is a purely instinctive reaction anyway.

refs used to see what they wanted to see now var sees what it wants to see get rid, its every game Just occasionally you post something sensible 😉 Always happy to admit I was wrong on VAR. Wanted it initially a few years ago, now hate it. Sucking the life and soul out of the game. One could fall out of love with the game cos of it

ok , on that link that you finally gave its states liverpool gave Shrewsbury Town their share of the gate receipts if you notice the "share of the gate receipts". bit is in green, its another link dare you to click on it and then pop back and show us how much of a big man you are ;-) the funny thing is, the link you gave links to the facts I gave they gave us £35k from the 1st game and cost us £500K in the replay

I was quite worried after you posted a sensible post earlier on this thread, good to see you’ve reverted to type and the fake news is back

You do understand the basic concept that rumours are different to statements made as a matter of fact You can’t change what you’ve said as fact, unless you start deleting posts that correctly call you out again

If we’ve have tried to beat Liverpool’s 15 year olds we could’ve had nice prize money for winning as well as gate receipts from Stamford Bridge and almost certainly tv money.
If anyone cost us £500k I’d suggest it was the manager and players, easier to deflect blame elsewhere though.

thats because you are a liverpool apologist I think they gave us receipts from the game at the meadow, about £35k 1/3 of which helped us pay for VAR in the replay overall their selfishness cost us best part of half a million Right, so a quick google reveals they gave us their share of the replay gate receipts £15 an adult, £5 a kid, so assume £10 on average 53,000 capacity x £10 x 45% (their share of gate receipts) is £238,500. £35k you suggest - maths not your strong point? More fake news spewed 🙄

Watching tonight’s game, this Wolves goal was disallowed but I feel this is level. Tightest offside call I’ve probably seen.

Watching tonight’s game, this Wolves goal was disallowed but I feel this is level. Tightest offside call I’ve probably seen. Ridiculous application of VAR. We'll be stopping matches soon so that teams of forensic scientists can get on the pitch to study the 'scene of the crime' with micrometers and other measurement devices.

I just cant see where the offside is, they're level, if not better.get rid of VAR and let referees use the pitch side monitor.wasnt david Coote in the BOX again was it??🤔🤔

Watching tonight’s game, this Wolves goal was disallowed but I feel this is level. Tightest offside call I’ve probably seen. It would help if the red line was straight, the white line is visible at the bottom of the screen yet not at the top so can’t be at 90 deg. to pitch.... strange

I think the VAR lines are blue and red but virtually on top of each other. Red line is marginally ahead hence the offside call but raises the same old argument... no way can they be accurate enough in selecting most advanced part of body and when ball was kicked to know that 1cm “advantage” is correct... Same old argument is never going away and doesn’t look likely to change. Human error disguised as technical accuracy.

Dont agree with any sort of VAR BUT if your having it no30 hand is slightly forward of the defenders. The problem with technology is you can measure in micrometers.
