VAR actually gets a decision correct, WOW Wonder why you came to that conclusion, lol? Because he won the ball cleanly , and didn’t follow through and catch the player , simple decision really if you know anything about football

the cheats are at it again yes he's clearly offside, everyone can see that taken from the laws of the game reference being offside. "preventing an opponent from playing or being able to play the ball by clearly obstructing the opponent’s line of vision" I hope this clarifies the decision to disallow the goal.

The West Brom goal is the typical VAR argument.
You score the goal and say no way did the player right in front of the keeper affect the goal.
You concede and you state clearly there is an offside player in the keepers eye line.
Whether you agree or disagree with the incident is purely down to your opinion on the shirts the teams are wearing and why VAR won’t get rid of the arguments. Football is too subjective and tribal for VAR to be accepted.

Wonder why you resurrect a 5 month old thread? Not as though it changed the result. I just wanted a few to remember how boring premier banter was when liverpool were losing and how great it is when they are winning anyway im off to celebrate and set the liver building on fire

As someone who does not support either Man U or Liverpool (but does not hate either of them) I thought the ref was very lenient on United today. Pogba's tackle was a possible leg- breaker ( hope Keita is OK) but he only booked him until VAR rightly intervened. Renaldo completely lost it before halftime and could also have been sent off for a wild foul and then lashing at the ball when a Liverpool player was virtually lying on it. The gulf in class today was clear today - Utd have a lot of talented players but are not organised to defend properly and under their current manager ( nice bloke as he is) will struggle to get into the top four this season.

I thought pogba won the ball, but in fairness the ref had booked Ronaldo for winning the ball in the first half so you cant say he hadn't given a warning ;-)
