The no.5 Bartley wasn’t the player who had the goal disallowed, it’s his body that’s blocking the line as I’ve referred to above. It was Diagne who had the goal disallowed but they couldn’t see where the furthest part of his body was. I still insist it’s onside 👍 oh im with you know, I thought you were winding me up and the pundits had gone mental pilch var took 2 hours but reached the correct decision ;-) As I said surely the VAR should’ve made the decision based on the still image with just the one line, he would’ve been far better placed to make the decision rather than automatically sticking with the on field linesman who based his decision in real time. He shouldn’t have flagged in the first place as they’ve been told not to raise their flags for tight calls.

Where was he meant to put his foot??? Surely even the ref could see that? what a joke, poor decision. if you watch his left foot, it slipped as he kicked the ball, zero intent, he literally got done on a slow motion which isn't supposed to be used 3 1/2 game ban for kicking the football

Thank god we havent got it in the lower leagues.just get rid of it, and let the refs use the monitor to help them if needed.but watching that west ham decision, and arsenals penalty, **** me we really are in trouble, the referees need to be blindfolded, before the game starts!!!🤣😂🙈

Never mind VAR, I see our old "friend" Gavin Ward is still unable to spot GBH. He allowed Carlton Morris to assault the Rotherham keeper and score, much to the disbelief of all who were watching.

VAR will be looked back upon as one of the things that fundamentally changes football, I suspect it will improve in future but even so, the way people play and watch the game will change forever and personally I don't see it as a good thing.
What I do find nauseating though is the amount of pundits/journalists/old pro's who are complaining about it sucking the life out of football, yet they were the ones who were complaining about human error and were campaigning for it. It was them regularly highlighting it which put pressure on the authorities to bring it in. Rather than complain about it, they need to take some responsibility for the s**tshow that has been introduced.
I used to watch a lot of live football on tv but rarely do now, the combination of diving & VAR, just makes it so stop/start and one of the greatest feelings in football (celebrating a goal) has now been reduced to waiting to check to see it's being referred to VAR

I saw a few people on Twitter defending the red card for Balbuena, admittedly almost all were Chelsea fans so not worth the bother.
I'm still astonished at the weakness and/or stupidity of Chris Kavanagh and Michael Oliver, the VAR ref, though. If you use VAR to reduce every incident to slow motion and freeze frame then anything can look bad. But the incident was right in front of Kavanagh and, at normal speed, there's obviously nothing wrong with Balbuena's action.
If we're going to say Balbuena wasn't in control of his action then surely David Luiz, for one, would have been red carded for the clash of heads that injured Jimenez so badly? Any player taking a shot at goal while under pressure from a defender should be red carded if his follow through catches the defender.
Referees amaze me with their ability to come up with ever more stupid decisions but to have the "benefit" of VAR and come up with this is astonishing. Kavanagh (and Oliver) should be stood down for their nit-picking idiocy (and Chilwell deserves a retrospective card for faking injury).
We have to get rid of VAR. It's bad enough in itself but the people operating it are evidently too stupid to be trusted with it.

Another ridiculous red card in Soton v Leicester game that VAR not even looking at. Defender won ball but caught Vardy afterwards.

Defender won ball but caught Vardy afterwards. im not sure on that one to be honest, look at it from vardys point of view, I may be a bit biased as the only bet I have on the game is £5 on a red card and a penalty 22/1 come on penalty

Just about any tackle you make will have some sort of contact with the other player. This tackle was far from malicious.

No red card for Fulham goalkeeper because there was a defender there to cover but that defender had already fallen over, you couldn’t make it up. Would’ve been a near enough nailed on goal if the keeper didn’t touch it with his hands. Should’ve been a red card.
