Source?
No different to some being forced to wear the poppy in the run up 11/11 when they don't agree with it?

This will be an interesting thread, when we consider the hard time James McClean gets.... I suspect it will highlight the double standards on all sides Some who abuse McLean will be going on about free speech and Le Tissier is entitled to his views. Then some who defend McLean & free speech and criticise the poppy police will now be demanding Le Tissier is sacked. Im assuming most people support the principle of Black Lives Matter but suspect there will be more little incidents like this as more people look beyond the slogan and as long as BLM UK put out releases like they did over the weekend regarding Palestine/Zionist conspiracy. I doubt there will be a major backlash as can't see anyone being brave enough but suspect that some of the big corporations will a go a bit quieter on the subject. I cant imagine the Premier League will be rushing out to put BLM on the back of the shirt again for example

Nthing wrong with an individual not wanting to wear a poppy, its their choice. My choice to those who refuse to wear them would be an educational visit to flanders, and Auchwich.Failing that just stand them against the wall blindfolded, and load the rifles. And yes i know mcleans reasons and all that tosh. What sort of person wouldnt want to wear a poppy, red ofcourse not the white ones the cowards, lefties, and students like to wear.

Fair enough, and he doesn't need to wear a badge to show solidarity with black people. However, the wider issue shouldn't be ignored just because people spend time time highlighting those political aims, especially when we all know they aren't achievable. I've yet to see anything from Le Tisser supporting the wider movement as of yet.

From what I've read, Le Tisser objects to the political aims of BLM. You are right that the main issue(s) shouldnt be ignored but equally people shouldn't be blindly going round supporting a movement without knowing what that movement is fully about. Well they can and I guess plenty are, I'd have been better off saying people should be able to say they support the principle of Black Lives Matter but they can object to elements of the organisation who are championing it The below was retweeted yesterday by the official BLM UK twitter page, now I appreciate Im a white man living in a white middle class Tory town and therefore not going to second guess what black people experience, but I really struggle to see how this mindset will lead to things improving and those issues being resolved? "any organization, Black led or otherwise, who works to "build trust between law enforcement and Black people" is doing dangerous work that puts all of our lives at risk. We must reduce contact between us and police, and reduce the reasons why people think they need police"

We must reduce contact between us and police, and reduce the reasons why people think they need police" I agree with your first paragraph, and there's no doubt that people are aware of the political aims of BLM, but are happy to go along with it knowing they aren't realistic, or achievable. As for the tweet, seeing as the evidence suggests that a minority group are more likely to have contact with police (stop and search say) then I get from the perspective of a black man, I would want to reduce that. As for the second a part of the tweet, Shrew in Japan posted something interesting about that and how policing should may change as opposed to abolishing the police.

I knew somewhere in you there must be a sense of humor. You cant spend all that time in the military and not have a sense of humor. If you hadnt they may have shot you before me. To be honest, I was being sarcastic. I don't know your service history, and to be frank I don't care. I don't want you to care about mine either and I certainly don't ask anybody else to care. Most forces humour in my experience was about taking the **** out of yourself, the situation and others within your peer group. Not whether others outside that group deserved shooting, or something.

On one hand you are saying people do have the choice, but then on the other you propose a drastic solution for those who dare go against your principles, and I use the term principles very loosely.

How many people have read the Black Lives Matter campaign aims?
It would appear Matt Le Tissier has, which is why he doesn't support the campaign itself.
What I don't understand is why the Premier League has been supporting a campaign against Police forces in particularly the United States Police forces?
I totally support the idea that the only label that matters is are you a nice person or not a nice person. I really don't care about anything else. To give an example I think it is great that we have a supporters group like Proud Salopians but it would be great if they decided to wind the group up as it wasnt needed. Sadly I don't think it will happen in my life time
