Tantalisingly the rain has stopped and the sun is shining brightly, I’m about 6 miles from OT. However, the local forecast is 100% rain all day and thunderstorms later. The sun was shining with us over in West Cheshire briefly, that is until we had the mother of all showers...

What on earth is Denly doing anywhere near that squad? I'm surprised to see Reece Topley included as well... The potential seam attack is lacking in pace for sure.

That helps no end. He joins Roy, Burns, Pope, Foakes, T Curran, S. Curran, Sibley (ex Surrey). Plus Stoneman, Dernbach, Clarke, Batty and Plunkett.

In the circumstances, what an excellent series (even though only 3 tests) that has been.
A massive hats off to the West Indies for agreeing to travel over to take part, thank you.
I hope we see the West Indies back again before too long, they have made lots of friends and played the game in an excellent spirit.

After his covid-19 escapades, Archer was the least effective of the 4 seamers in this Test.
Perhaps Wood and Curran will come into contention for the 1st Test v Pakistan?

I wouldn't say it was a near faultless display though.
78/4 looked a little concerning. Neither Vince nor Banton enhanced their future prospects with loose strokes.
