From some of the comments above seems not so many will be having the booster which is as it should be. I’m taking the cautious route with booster next week and flue jab the week after. Put the prompt up for the cautious amongst us 👍

Put the prompt up for the cautious amongst us 👍 No problems with anyone having a booster. Plenty who are eligible for the flu jab don't have it, you can't appeal to everyone unfortunately. I was glad to have my 3x Pfizer.

Me too. Think the penny has finally dropped for the vast majority now, even though it for ages with all the media hype and misinformation going around. To be honest , I don't think it was "misinformation" as such - merely an example of public servants and those who have to report to public servants "covering their arses" just in case the worst-case scenarios transpired....human nature really, and I don't blame them, but throughout the whole episode, my attitude always that probability into cognisance Yes I guess that's a reasonable assessment. I suppose you cant blame those who were stuck at home, not meeting hardly anybody and listening to everything that was thrown at us in thinking as they did (brainwashed I guess is a very good description). I was one of those key workers (delivery service) that was out and about pretty much working as normally as we were being allowed to. I could see virtually straight away that the information we were given was just SOOO much OTT. It was obviously something you didnt want at this stage (pre vaccination rollout) but for many months I could count on one hand the people I actually knew who had go or had it. If it was as bad as being made out why the hell werent many more people I knew getting it FGS? Why hadnt it got to me, the work i was doing i was surely high on the list to come into contact with it? I finally got it just over 2 years after the first lockdown. By then it was pretty much like a summer cold for me (though I accept it's been worse for some others).

What's Covid? Oh yeah, the fancy name for the common cold I’m not sure that’s quite true for vulnerable people. Another form of flu perhaps? My 3 year old daughter ended up in hospital twice with it. She has no other medical conditions, just got a bad dose of it and reacted badly. Really doesn't feel like a common cold when your child is continually spiking up to 40 degrees, struggling to breathe and there's nothing you can do about it. (She's fine now I should add. Frightening at the time though, particularly as i had it myself so was having to care for her whilst completely exhausted)

I’m sure it was. I can’t imagine how it must have been for you all. I’m glad she’s ok now.

They'll likely be some research and a reason in 10 years or so explaining how it disproportionately affected people.

Well all I can say is that I’ve got a very sore arm this morning after having my booster yesterday!

Well all I can say is that I’ve got a very sore arm this morning after having my booster yesterday! It's well worth it I'm sure. Hopefully this will be the last jab we will have to have this autumn, hopefully not needed in 12 months time or a nasal spray if you do still needed.

Indeed. Just the flu jab to wait for now. I’ll be like a pin cushion soon!

With all the mass public events in Britain at the moment, we better hope that Covid truly has buggered off.
