Unfortunately the queues in passport said otherwise š Been to Majorca and mainland Spain 6 times this year, hardly seen a queue for passports. Nothing out of the ordinary at least. Once we walked right through with no one in front of us. Sure there might be problems at times, but of course the media wont focus on that will they........ š Yes also been to Spain and not queued. Felt like a deliberate attempt to āpunishā us in the Netherlands

if the drug is as god as the research data it seems very short shighted to not use it from the mail "New £800-a-dose Covid drug that could save the lives of the 500,000 vulnerable Britons who don't respond to the jab The AstraZeneca developed Evusheld was approved by UK regulators in March The Department of Health and Social Care refuses to cover the £800-dose cost New calls have been made to roll out the drug as Covid infections rise again"The trial results for Evusheld released earlier this year showed that, if taken once every six months, it cuts the risk of a person catching Covid by nearly 80 per cent. And the latest data now shows that if it is given within a week of Covid infection, Evusheld can also reduce the risk of severe disease and death by 50 per cent, even in patients who are deemed the most vulnerable." there's no point, the number of deaths are quite acceptable apparently

Having been away again this week, good to see Covid is a distant memory on the continent too, finally No tests, no vaccine passes, no muzzles. Back to normal Except for Spain. Everything back to normal there except on public transport where most people are attempting to wear a mask but most of them keep slipping down their face to the chin. Still at least the virus has now been contained to only being active on busses and trains.......š Hardly contained with a 57% increase in positive tests in the 7 days up-to 12/06 and 31% increase in hospital admissions (around 700 a day) but weāre just not talking about it ATM.

Wow, even Easyjet are getting back to the real world finally.
They have insisted on masks on planes to destinations like Spain who still have the outdated rule on public transport (except only the stewardesses and about 10% actually bothered with them). Other airlines like Jet2 and Ryanair ditched them weeks ago.
Great to see on my flight back yesterday to see the stewardesses all completely mask free (and smiling). I said to one "You must be glad to not have to wear a mask to work now". "You bet" was the answer.

Had this message on my phone this morning. Cant (a) beleive these idiots are still around trying this scam, and (b) there are still bigger idiots that will still fall for it. But i suppose we have been brainwashed for 2 years and some still beleive every written word that the media keep pedaling. "NHS: You've been in close contact with a person who has contracted the Omicron variant. Please order a test kit via: nhs.gb-delivery-testkit.com/nhs" Can I ask a) which aspects of the last two years have been a scam? b) who specifically is responsible for scamming us? c) what have those responsible for scamming us gained from said scam? Thanks in advanceš Have you not been paying attention?

Each soul a sad loss to family and friends. The dead were mostly elderly people with co-morbidities, but not all. In the same time frame about 25,000,000 people have died from starvation, including almost 10,000,000 children. This number of deaths is totally acceptable apparently and has been for decades. Over 400,000,000 have died from starvation since Live Aid. #Levels

Well I assume so as I didnt test. Apart from sharp soar throat and head cold symptoms I felt full of beans. Lasted 5 days, all done and dusted. Will swap a winter cold for that in a few months time, winter cold will make me feel far worse.

Have you just compared your dad almost dying of starvation to children who never know a full belly from the moment they are born until the moment they actually die, of starvation...really? A young man your dad, is he? Why did you not go and feed your dad? Did your dad die of either starvation or Covid? If he had died of starvation what do you think would have gone on the death certificate. #Levels Indeed.

I phoned pals and accused them he was dying of starvation and neglect and I wanted him out now, they actually acted visitors were not permitted at the time, had I not intervened and got him out the day I did he would likely have gone within a couple of days, I did ask the questions at the time on how the NHS went from having county hospitals here there and everywhere with people spending weeks with things like a broken leg to what we have now which is just a shambles, I don't blame the frontline workers they have an impossible task We lost him 8 months later when he passed suddenly I do understand what goes on around the world but my view is this is how nature and evolution works, as it did with covid, we do help as much as we can but never enough, I can't really offer any help or advice myself as I wouldn't know how to , but when covid was in its prime and people were not helping, I felt I could shout about it a bit ,Bob Geldof style

I think we need to separate the virus into phase1 and phase2. Phase1 was potentially dangerous and unknown, July onwards it was a mere common cold at the worst for the vast majority. Thankfully being treated as the flu-like cold it is now.

It will be interesting to see how much the Covid rates go up over the next few weeks with all the large gatherings of mourners etc?

Yes I agree having been one of the very cautious early on. It was the unknown part that needed to be acted on and all care taken during that phase.
We now know there is a vaccine and we, as individuals, can choose how we behave and what we want to do.
Having said that if I am asked to wear a mask I will do so. I was at a hospital last Friday and the request was still there, so I did.

Me too. Think the penny has finally dropped for the vast majority now, even though it took for ages with all the media hype and misinformation going around. To be honest , I don't think it was "misinformation" as such - merely an example of public servants and those who have to report to public servants "covering their arses" just in case the worst-case scenarios transpired....human nature really, and I don't blame them, but throughout the whole episode, my attitude always took that probability into cognisance
