he should be fit by now ? what facts are you basing that on ? or is it just something you've plucked from thin air ? perhaps you should contact Jon Pitts and let him know where he is going wrong i dont know why you have to make such sarcastic posts. But it’s right isn’t it ? You’ve just decided he should be fit now , no reasoning why just he should be fit now That’s not how it works We employ the likes of professionals like Jon Pitts who know their stuff , they have stats and data coming out off their ears They will have Cummings on the best possible routine to allow him to get fit and get the max out of him on the pitch at the same time Saturday proves they are doing a damn good job at it

Good team performance. Defence was superb. Special mention to Laurent who I thought was outstanding. Would like to know his running stats, he is supremely fit. Wasn’t he just . Never stopped working for the team . Bit disappointed that Goss didn’t start but SR went for a more physical midfield with loads of energy . It worked as Edwards never stopped . Goldbourne and Love both stuck to their tasks well . Again I think SR played Goldbourne because of his experience . Sunderland fans need to get their heads out their arses . Some dork mentioned we treated it like our Cup Final. What a prick . Someone ought to tell him Sunderland are a laughing stock , big ground , large support , s**te team . They are busy spunking their considerable funds on what ? It’s certainly not on players to get them promotion . Why ? Well , ask yourself if you were a decent pro . would you want to sign for a club like Sunderland , perpetual under achievers living in the past. No , the Billy Big Ballocks of a team weren’t good enough on the day to beat us . Oh , and someone ought to tell them hitting the woodwork doesnt count , not even with VAR . So , all you Sunderland fans suck it up , you lost now flip off .

Cummings is a quality finisher, could be the difference in this low scoring side if we continue to find his feet and stop lumping balls up to him. Very clever footballer.

It would be nice to see Cummings playing off a physical centre-forward (in the Carleton Morris mould). Perhaps we will be in the loan market in the next window. The shop is not the answer in this league but I hope is fit soon and gets a contract at a club at a more appropriate level for him.

Got to admire the work rate shown by the lads.
This time last year, we were all over the place and the players didn't seem up for it. Now, We look fit and organised which is a great place to start. We need to show more signs of quality but the building blocks are there.
I can't help but feel, with a couple of tweaks, this team could take it up another gear.

Great saves by O'Leary. And yet someone was calling him on Radio Shropshire.

Just not been their week! And it's just got worse. They've got Trevor Kettle on Saturday against Southend.

The new Sunderland manager hasn't taken much time to get in the rhythm of what is required to manage an under achieving big named club. Blame the ref or bad luck but not his poser players.
