Sunderland far to good on their day for us to risk any sort of attack, best keep it tight and hope for a decent 0-0 point. Are you Ricketts in disguise? Think you are absolutely right though.

Lewis Cox suggesting we're playing a 3-4-3 with Golbourne and Love wide and Edwards on the left of a front three featuring himself, Cummings and Whalley.
If he's right on the shape, I expect it to operate more like a 5-4-1 given Golbourne and Love are essentially defenders.
But Cox could be wrong, Edwards in central midfield with Norburn and Laurent in the usual 3-5-2 would perhaps make more sense.

A rare appearance on the bench for Luke McCormick.

Right decision to bench Okenabirhie, he really has been off the boil this season.
Feeling confident? Not really. Anticipating a scrappy game but would be very happy if we get something out of this.
Up the Salop!

Why did Norburn get booked?

Why did Norburn get booked? An earlier foul where the referee must have let play go on at the time.

We do seem to have a lot of players that cant last 90 mins in SR eyes. Is it a fitness thing or just a quirk with this manager?

Wow! Real backs to the wall, Alamo stuff in the second half and a bit of luck along the way but credit to Town for their defensive resilience. A very unexpected three points.

Only 4 points off half way to the magic 50 points still with 9 games to the halfway point of the season.
Great, and quite a suprise result.

The 3-4-3 is possibly the way to go.
Ricketts used it for most of the back half of last season so I'm surprised it's taken until today to see it used this season. It offers a better balance than the 3-5-2 and, importantly, means Whalley can be included from the start.

I don’t do predictions, but I predict a one nil Town win with the goal coming from a rare attacking break away from defence, leaving all the Sunderland fans crying about how we didn’t deserve to win cos they were on top all game blah blah blah! COYB!! Think you should start doing predictions 👍

Exceptionally lucky not to concede at least one today but a definite improvement on Tuesday.
Thought Laurent had a good game, Golbourne too (not normally his biggest fan but credit where credit's due). O'Leary excellent again (7 clean sheets in 14 for him now); some muppet on Radio Shropshire calling him a weak link must be watching a different Max O'Leary.
Downsides; Cummings still not fit, Feji poor again. Tactically, think it was suicidal to bring Goss on for Whalley at the end. Removed the get out ball and exposed us to huge pressure.
Overall though, good three points and you'd expect a bit of pressure from them hiven the gulf in resources.
