It’s been sorted......Mr Angol will give him a lift in the mornings😂 While they travel they can talk about keeping the ball out of the net, Mr Angol is good at that. well one cant keep it out and the other hardly ever goes in so tactically it should be an illuminating conversation .

Clearly the Stoke replay is occupying everyone's minds at the GM hence no news on a potential new goalie or any new player come to that....

Any goalkeeper signed isn't eligible to play this evening, so no rush for a day or two yet.

Angol still using paternity leave? you only get two weeks which you are supposed to take in one week chunks, unless the club have allowed him to have it in days as required.

I wonder if we attempted to extend MacGillivray's contract midway through last season, knowing as we did that Henderson wouldn't be with us this season. Somehow I doubt it.

I wonder what Danny Coyne's thoughts are on MacGivillray, and why he wasn't deemed good enough to be our first choice this season? Don't blame MacGivillray for wanting first team football, and its worked out brilliantly for him.

Don't blame MacGivillray for wanting first team football, and its worked out brilliantly for him. I'd be even more interested to know what his thoughts are on Charles Cook, and why someone who was rejected as a triallist here only 6 months ago is now suddenly worth a contract.

I think Craig would have been our number 1 this season but maybe felt let down by us last season not so much in the league but certainly the fa cup and checkatrade including a trip to Wembley when he stepped up to fill in for Henderson he did a great job including a great clean sheet and win at Portsmouth in a game where we were under pressure like nothing else all season in comparison to deano, he certainly never made any blunders ( on or off the ball ) wasn't as confident coming for corners but certainly a keeper that can get you out of league 1 at the right end cant blame him one bit for leaving us when he did

Don't blame him at all. Far from it. He was treated shabbily by us so very good luck to him.

I wonder if we attempted to extend MacGillivray's contract midway through last season, knowing as we did that Henderson wouldn't be with us this season. Somehow I doubt it. he gave an interview and during negotiations with town he wanted assurances of having regular first team appearances ,they were not forthcoming and he left, so our loss there gain .one thing for sure we would have looked more solid between the sticks if he had stayed.

We would probably be hounding him out demanding a new keeper as hes lets in goal after goal following Waterfall mistakes

Indeed. I'm sure the money pompey and their venture capitalist owner were offering had nothing to do with it.

Well let's see how he does. As someone else has said it could be that Danny Coyne wanted him but was over ruled by Askey because they thought they could repeat last season with another loan like Henderson.
If he needs confidence building it won't help if the fans are on his back from day one. When asked by Stuart Dunn on Saturday about the goalkeeping situation his reply was that they were looking at short term and long term answers so who knows what's in the pipeline.

Short term deal.
Sounds like we're doing thinks cheap and won't be getting another keeper in.
That, along with the lack of even a rumour about signing a forward spells trouble.

Craig was overlooked much of last season, loved Dean but he did make a few mistakes (as young keepers do) & was only on loan... and was probably offered a poor deal anyway.
