Currently playing in Denmark which may explain any possible delay You mean currently not playing in Denmark (well 1 cup game was enough)

I can't help thinking that the usual underlying objective of the Club is the problem here, which is to get everything in on the cheap if possible.
Even if we have allowed Askey to pay out upwards of £600k in transfer fees, that amount is far lower than the amount we have taken in with regard to the sale of land to Lidl, the add on fees for the transfers of Goldson and Woods, the transfers of Nolan, Toto and Payne, the money from 2 Wembley appearances etc.
That being the case, loans would seem to be our salvation. We already have 3 spots available, and possibly 4 if Emmanuel doesn't stay. We had 3 top quality loans last season (Henderson, Godfrey and Morris). We just need some quality players to supplement our existing squad and doing it this way avoids paying out transfer fees, albeit they're only a short term fix and can be a bit hit and miss as to whether they are successful.

1st goal, 3 touches by players inside the 6 yard box including our own player hitting his own post, looked a shambles 2nd goal, a shot from outside the box, just out of his reach, except he was trying to save the ball with his wrong arm 3rd goal, went the right way for the penalty but as he goes down in slow motion it just went under him

We make roughly £500k operating losses most seasons at the new stadium These player sales help keep us operating and keep us financially stable for many years It’s not as simple as spend everything you make in income I do agree about the loans though

It would be interesting to know what Portsmouth offered our number two keeper from last season that we couldn't. He was nailed on to be our number one this season after many excellent performances when he was called upon.

A 32 year old who was limping within a few minutes of coming on, a player who can't actually play for us til next season, and a potential goalkeeper signing who has already been rejected by us in trials doesn't exactly raise much enthusiasm. And all 3 were already known to SR.

Askey must be p**sing himself at this stunning signing . FFS Town are now well and truly losing the plot . I now fear the worst , I really do . We are struggling to escape the relegation places , can’t score enough goals , can’t win away and have just been shafted very thoroughly by all accounts at home . So , what do we do . We sign a player who can’t play for us this season so he turns out for Wrexham , or will be . We sign an ex player who we all hope does well for us . He hasn’t played for bloody months so ,whilst getting dicked Ricketts chucks him on . Why ? Someone please tell me why . Dave Edwards says himself he isn’t fit yet . He injures himself surprise , surprise . Now we sign a keeper we looked at pre season and decided he wasn’t for us . It is all absolute madness , the loonies have well and truly taken over the asylum. We will be signing Dom Smith next to play Centre Half .

I'd be looking to take Toto on loan and Nolan if we can afford it.

To be fair I think most of the loonies post on B&A From SR’s comments I get the impression Riece Cook wpups very much be a stop gap signing as cover for the bench before a long term replacement comes in. Whether that means the next few games or till the end of the season remains to be seen. Personally think the improvement in Arnold over the season has been significant. He certainly saved us on several occasions yesterday & can’t believe the criticism for knocking s couple of goal kicks into touch.

It’s certainly all very depressing at the moment but we must keep hoping all will turn out well. Perhaps the goalie will have a new lease of life, perhaps Morris didn’t want to be here - who knows? However, at the moment I agree it’s not looking good.

He'll do for me as he is only back up to Arnold who has been brilliant since coming into the team. He won't be expensive and the money saved will be better spent on outfield players. If they were doing their job half as good as Arnold we wouldn't be in this mess.
