so it is all down to the wire , at the end of the day whilst it is all down to how town perform . can Hurst get the team back on track can the players play to there full potential. on a form stats point of view it looks a bit dire last six games Sc***horpe 1st , Rotherham 3rd , Charlton 11th and town have slipped down to 15th. however past performance is not a predictor of future performance .

Seemed to be plenty of people buying tickets for home and away fixture this morning, down the Meadow. Me +1 driving down to Charlton, hopefully there will be a great Away following, potentially 1 of the 3 of the biggest games in the clubs history. If you can get down to Charlton go, we 3000 to West Ham, this means do much more.

This the match thread then ?
Nerves already building and I don't hit the road for another 6 hours.
Hoping for a frenzied atmosphere in the away end tonight.
Come on you blues .

Can’t wait and new ground for me. Gutted with the numbers we’re taking but we’ll make plenty of noise. 600 is p*ss poor in my book 😫

Given that pay on the night is arguably more straight forward than pre ordering and collecting I’d expect around 800. Should be enough to make a fair din in the away end if everyone is up for this as much as I am!

Nerves are seriously bad! A whole seasons work resting on two (hopefully three) games. Was looking through our league losses, and when we have lost, it’s not very often by much. We’ve only conceded 3 goals when losing twice, and even then we scored a goal in reply. So don’t think the tie will be over after tonight. Be happy with a draw and bring them back to the meadow. Come on salop!!!

I'm posting this only to bring this thread back to the top, instead of the one about the manager's future!
Today is match day, **** the speculation.

Let's just hope we are not undone by a bad refereeing decision. We seem to have had a few of those recently.

But still thought we would take 1000 Is it possible that’s 593 online sales to add to the face to face sales at the ground? 600 or even 1000 would be disappointing after the great season and support we’ve had.. Perhaps a lesson for the future, don’t arrange a Beach Party and a record attendance 2 weeks before the end of th season as our fans seem to be on the beach already 😤 oh well leaving about 12.30 to get there in plenty of time to support the lads 😎

Getting abit fed up of the main talking point on here being attendances all the time.
The people who have the time off and can afford it will go, make some noise and enjoy it. The people who can’t go for whatever reason like myself will have to make other arrangements to catch it on tv, it doesn’t matter how many is there as long as the ones who do travel enjoy their day and we get the result. Constant talk of ‘we’ve only sold this amount’ just doesn’t matter.

Safe journey to one and all.
I hope that it's a night that will live long in STFC history.
It's moments like today when I just wish I was going.

Hurst was asked recently, and said Junior has been part of light training and continues to take part in more training, but is not match ready.

Lee Bowyer talking now on TalkSport - his message to his team is simply they must compete with Shrewsbury - earn the right to play. If they don't compete then they won't win. Expect a battle!!

Feeling very nervous at the moment.
Just hope the lads can perform after such an incredible season.
Bowyer has done very well so far but he is an inexperienced manager and hopefully that may play to our advantage.
Come on Salop, let’s make history!!

Would bite your hand off for a draw. First of my finals tomorrow so I could do without a stressful defeat please Town!

Used to quite like the excitement of the play-offs, and the unpredictability of it all
Now I just really want them over with a positive outcome for Town. Find the whole thing really stressful. Unless we can get to 5.0 up at half time and have a double figure lead for the second leg I won’t be able to relax all weekend
