Just driven past the Charlton team bus in Telford. By my estimates they are heading for the Q hotel. Anybody know anyone who works there to pull a fire alarm at 3am or can add a bit of extra seasoning to the chicken?
Hope we go 442 with big Stef and big Carlton leading the line. Hoping for a good atmosphere under the lights.
Come on you blues.

Some of the security staff there are also on my payroll. I'll put out some suitable noises.

They are spending the night in Telford. They’ve suffered enough.

Bowyer had a very good "change of manager bounce". Charlton were superb for three matches. The subsequent three have seen them revert to the Karl Robinson form. Let's hope they carry on where they left off on Saturday.

The battle for 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th is getting pretty intriguing. A lot of teams stuttering to the season's close. Difficult to know who I would prefer in the eventuality that we finish 3rd. Probably Sc***horpe the way they seem to have lost their way over these past few weeks, perhaps even Plymouth. Really don't want Posh, despite it only be an hour's drive for me, just something about that team that we always seem to lose against!

Popped a bet on for us to win 4-3 at odds of 300-1 with Paddy Power. Last 2 home games against them we won 4-3 so definitely worth a quid...

Can’t see it being posh, I think they’ll need 10-12 points from their last 4 games, including away games at Blackburn, town and Portsmouth. (Famous last words)

Like you, I wouldn’t fancy Posh in the play offs but I have a feeling Pompey will nick that last spot, and also be very difficult to beat. Sc***horpe would probably be the best option, and a bit nearer than Pompey

Can non of you lefties post anything without having a pop at the government? Wait until Red Jez gets in, the armed forces and security forces will be taken apart because he's a f**king quisling and will almost certainly ally himself with the likes of Putin etc. to "keep us safe" but at what cost?

Don't despair too much Keith, there's always a silver lining. You will be able to get a second hand Lada at a knock down price, vodka will be exempt from excise duty and you won't need to remember your address on leaving the pub after a good session because all the taxi drivers will know where you live 😂.

I agree, in my opinion Mrs May is providing strong and stable leadership as opposed to a potential coalition of chaos under Mr Corbyn. In my opinion she was given a mandate to lead for Britain, to fight for Britain and to deliver for Britain.

And there was me thinking this thread was about the game tonight 😊
After our last couple of performances a win for us tonight would be a massive confidence booster for us all.

How the hell did that happen??? There I was, innocently reading up on the latest Charlton football thread and it makes a sudden swerve into the contentious area of politics. Before I knew it, I had "liked" an admittedly excellent post and instantly broke my own rule of not mixing football and politics. There's some very cunning posters on here😞

Not sure about anyone else but my stomach is starting to churn already... I feel quite relaxed about it all, the team are under no pressure to finish in the top 2 as all the expectations will be on Wigan and Blackburn to take the top two places, we can only get ready to pounce if one of them (probably Blackburn) makes a unexpected slip up, I might feel differently if/when we get into the play offs though... oh and I’ve tried currywurst in Dortmund and Manchester Christmas market, it is absolutely delicious!

Thank goodness Ricky Holmes isn't playing tonight. Always scored goals against us.
Since he's been at Sheffield United he's been wasted. 1 appearance plus 4 off the bench.
