First politics and now religion all in the same football thread. This can only end badly. Quite, absolutely bonkers.

As other have said injuries, suspensions & a long hard (very successful) season have started to bite our relatively shallow squad.
Also teams are setting up to frustrate us by disrupting the flow of the game as they recognise our ability in high tempo, free flowing games. In many ways this should be seen as a compliment.
Another recent factor could be the added pressure of needing to win games. The season has largely been based on keeping a tight control on games and nicking the odd goal.
Trying to open games up and force the issue is proving much more difficult (particularly in the formation which has proved so successful overall with 1 up top). It has led to us looking more ragged in possession & a loss of control.
Last night was a case in point. First half we were neat & tidy but didn’t create any clear openings. Instead of building on that in the second half we just grew increasingly desperate, lost our shape, didn’t keep the ball as we can & handed the initiative to an increasingly cynical but effective Charlton team..
If it is to be the play offs then let’s get back to doing what has got us here in the first place. Keep patient & I’m sure our form will come back.
We don’t need to fear any of the teams in the play offs & we all (myself included) need to stop buying into the play off/Wembley hoodoo theory. The law of averages says it has to change eventually!!

o lot said about Henderson recently
not been on his best since blackburn away in fact been awful many times since
Craig has always been decent but did get found out on corners when deano was banned still got by though with no thrills
but on their day Henderson can be a match winner as much as a match loser but you'd still favour him as match winner
it was obvious yesterday that Henderson was effected badly by rhead of Lincoln awful challenge ( assault ) and hes still wary about coming for 50/50s that will pass and hopefully very soon
if I was hurst, id be telling him to play saturday, and with nothing to lose show what he can do and don't get involved with opposition or crowd ( not that bury will bring any ) I'd tell him hes rested Tuesday and maybe saturday too but he'll be back giving his best just in time for us
ps
no one can blame him for the 2nd goal yesterday he's not midfield player, will learn from that too

Oh dear oh dear, we've still got people going for promotion. Read the person above you talking about resting players for the next 3 or 4 games. They know what they are talking about. We just need to all accept reality and go for the playoffs. C'mon Salop! Why the **** not? It’s still mathematically possible regardless of how unlikely it may be. Belt up and cheer up son. It’s not over yet. Did you boo today? I'm fairly confident you did.
