I think the club will confirm this afternoon. The Shrop Star are summarising where we are before knowing until the club confirm. So the update was that there is no update. Therefore the headline should have read: "NO NEWS YET ON JUNIOR INJURY" Or... "NEWS EXPECTED SOON ON JUNIOR INJURY" rather than the completely misleading, "JUNIOR BROWN INJURY UPDATE" ... when there wasn't one.

Junior Brown's injury is "undisclosed".

Yes I agree that when you are embedded with a club, you have to follow their wishes for how news is released, and maybe they did try to get information... but in that case say so... "Paul Hurst declined to add anything further while medical staff are still assessing the situation, but said that he will be releasing further details at x o'clock... or as soon as they become available."
Anyway the messenger is not as important as the message; as one who has foraged a living in publishing, I was being pedantic... becoming tetchy because of my growing concern. I just don't want any rain on this glorious parade.

Give Beckles a chance, he’s been in and around a winning squad, he looks like he’s quite comfortable on the ball, sounds confident on his own ability when interviewed and moved to the area, demonstrating his commitment to the club.

Feel is pain, I did that.
Same thing as NKP and Weso I believe and they got back, particularly NKP who's playing week in week out.
Gutted is the word though.

Huge loss. This highlights how tough it is for clubs with smaller budgets in this league will be really up against it when injury strikes. Still lets hope whoever steps in can play their part in keeping the successful run going.

Holy cow, that is a hell of a loss. Few cover options (Riley, Beckles) for now, and get someone new in January.
How is Jules doing at Chesterfield?

Will he be offered a contract at the end of the season? I imagine so if we're league one, but could championship football test our loyalty with the possibility of further injury and stepping up a league too big of a risk?

I would be amazed if he has not done his cruciate or similar. Absolutely gutted for him. I hope his recovery goes the way of NKP and not Weso.

Are we not allowed to bring in any loan cover?

Are we not allowed to bring in any loan cover? Nope, emergency loan window scrapped. We can sign free agents though. I have faith that Riley/Beckles can do a job til January though.

I'm a frayed knot. Only players who are out of contract.
I can see Beckles playing there, but we'll have to adjust our system accordingly.

Are we not allowed to bring in any loan cover? Short-term loans no longer exist - only long-term loans (which can't happen between transfer windows) are options now. Two months with 5 fit defenders will test their legs - if need be, we have Smith and Shelis. All the best to Junior. One positive thing about this recovery timeframe is that he should be back to full training in pre-season, which means he can have more a of a gradual build-up and not be constantly playing catch-up next season. I'm certainly not writing him off; some have said this could be the end of his career with us - because, as mentioned, Skitty did a damn good job at mending NKP's dodgy knee and got Wes back fit once - his issue was that he then buggered it again which was incredibly unfortunate. Even now, though, he's still playing - just at a lower level - so Junior should, at the very least, not be prevented from his future career in the fire service. He's still young enough at 28 to come back fully firing and be an important player for us in the Championship next season All the best buddy, we're all thinking of you

Are we not allowed to bring in any loan cover? not sure. Plymouth were allowed to bring in another GK due to a few injuries . Might be different in the Gk position though .

That is the worst news possible. So sorry for him but hopefully the same determination that saw NKP and Weso through will work for him. Hopefully too the rest of the squad will rally round him and keep him going.
All best wishes Junior, my favourite player, at least with Skitty you are in good hands.

Terrible news. Best of luck to Junior for a full recovery, he was in terrific form.
Beckles and Riley give us options to cover for him and Jules should be available before too long. No need to panic.

9 months seems a bit long.. that's the rest of the season.. is that the normal time of recovery for this type of injury?
Time for Skitty to work his magic..

Clucking Bell.
First bad news we’ve had this season in particular with Junior being so crucial to the good form of the team so far.

If we were to vote for player of the season to date it would have to be between Brown and Rodman for me.
