I hope that injury wasn't as bad as it looked today. I presume we'll be seeing more of Omar Beckles if it is.

Riley may be another contender for LB, even though he's right footed he seems more of a natural full back with athleticism than Beckles, not sure how comfortable Beckles is going forward yet.

I would be amazed if he has not done his cruciate or similar.

He twisted and slipped at the same time. This looked serious to me. Never mind our first loss, coping with our first big injury for me was always going to be our biggest challenge. Fingers crossed it's just a twinge or a bruise but didn't look good.

I too suspect it's a cruciate injury. If so, we will not see him play again til the end of the season.
Defensively we will cope. But it's his offensive qualities that we will sorely miss.

It did look bad at the time. On the upside at least he was able to walk/hobble off under his own steam so hopefully it won’t be too bad

Don't thing we'll see Junior in a Town top before Christmas at the earliest. Beckles or Riley at LB - keep Toto and Sads as the CB pairing.

Came back to watch injury time hopefully not too serious I snapped mine playing football, I watched the end of the game and then drove home, the initial pain when it goes is horrendous, doesn't hurt as much later unless the leg goes from under you.

I guess if it is a season ending injury then it seems obvious that PH will enter the market in January for a left back and we will just have to cope until then with Beckles/Riley/Sadler/Shellis in that position, maybe there is a similar player to JB in one of the PL academies that Hursty may take on loan until the end of the season... I wish Junior well as he has been immense for us so far this season like many others.

Fingers crossed on Junior. If he has to be out, I am sure Beckles would do well, but for me, I would look at Riley. I know it was the youngsters, but I thought he looked very comfortable, in fact very good, in that position against WBA.
And we know that he has some cracking firepower in his boots with his two goals this season; the equaliser at Donny was a thunderbolt.

Unfortunately, I remember NKP walking off the pitch when he did his. Can only echo the sentiments of others in hoping Junior's is not that bad.
Think I'd go for Riley at LB, as he would offer a greater attacking threat than Beckles. And cutting in on that right foot of his, it could be potent.

All the best Junior. Would be a massive loss so fingers crossed it’s not too serious.
I’d tend to choose between Beckles and Riley on a game by game basis. Tougher away fixtures I might go for Beckles but in general we’d miss Brown’s attacking qualities too much so I’d go for Riley to keep the balance as best we can.

We instantly thought ligaments when it happened. Hope not, as Junior has been consistently impressive this season. Even though some teams have obviously targeted him with aerial balls at times, he has been more than equal to the task.
Fingers crossed JB, hope it’s not too serious.

Hazell did play a handful of appearances the following season for us, but he never regained the form he was showing at that point.

Noticed yesterday that Fleetwood seemed to target Junior with kicks from their keeper. Don't know if they targeted him as he's the smallest in our back four, but if so their scouting seems to have missed the fact that Junior is probably our most consistent player aerially.
Unfortunate to lose Junior to injury so soon after Bolts was subbed, but that's football. I think that we've got enough in Beckles or Riley to fill the LB position though ironically, we were discussing how settled and comfortable our back four gad been all season before Junior limped off. Hopefully not too long term, but it looked serious from the South Stand...maybe the renewed fitness of the players and new training pitch and associated facilities will help to shorten the recovery process.

Hurst said it will be scanned tonight as in Saturday night so should be announced Monday you would think.

Make no mistake, BECKLES is a very good player. Although he only had a cameo appearance for us yesterday he was impressive. He has a good change of pace, is quick, strong, good in the air and has a trick or two. Can see the lad doing well and playing at a higher level. Another hidden diamond unearthed by PH from the lower leagues. When we get injuries we still have John- Lewis, Arthur, Beckles , Riley and Morris to step in. Bloody hell, we' ve done well in team recruitment pre- season.

If its cruciate ligament it will be nine months for full recovery no matter what facilities we have.

According to Accy, Beckles fits in at Left Back, no sweat.

Gutted if Junior is out for any length of time he's been immense this season and last really. I'm sure whoever comes in will give their all and be glad to be getting a game.
