The lads ran themselves into the ground and gave everything to the cause. I just hope there is enough in the tank to see off Doncaster on Tuesday That is what worries me, a few looked totally gone in the last 10 minutes. Going to take some effort to go again with the same closing down on Tuesday.

And we follow that on Saturday with a game against (I think) our highest placed opponents so far this season (Sc***horpe, 5th). Really tough week - would be delighted to have another 4 points a week from now.

Going to take some effort to go again with the same closing down on Tuesday. It's a tough ask for sure and PH is bound to make changes. It's great to have a settled team but they were feeling it at the end. Avoiding defeat and keeping that unbeaten run going will be a good result, but it's a chance for two or three of the fringe players to show what they can do and given what we've seen so far of PH's management there's a great chance they'll be good enough to get the result.

I just think back 12 months and I am certainly not disappointed, I ecstatic about the progress that has been made. Long may it continue. How are you feeling? I'm disappointed on several levels. That was a game, that on the day we could/should have won. The players looked gutted at the end, so I'm disappointed for them more than anything. Also, it would have been lovely to look at the table and see a 5-0-0 home record. A few after surgery problems, hopefully improve over next few day's thanks. Yes I see your point a five point lead would have looked good going into Tuesday.

Really tough week - would be delighted to have another 4 points a week from now. hindsight always gives 20 - 20 vision but after 80 minutes Bolton and especially toto were struggling with cramp ,The triple substitution had an impact chambers has pace to burn, Hurst tends to leave his substitution very late so this is something other managers will pick up on, considering who we play on saturday and the points raised i wonder if Hurst will rest players on tuesday , the midweek game after wigan town did look leggy in the end stages of the second half. we have an amazing team and and a manager who has inspired the players consistency is the key and resilience with the style of play we now use it is asking an awful lot of any player to maintain that for a whole season.

Hey guys - Rovers fan in peace.
Firstly, well done on your start to the season, you have some lads that are really fighting for the cause and you should be proud of the effort that they have been putting in. I really do hope that you have a good season as you seem like a good supporter base having been over to see the game and having shared a few pints.
I just want to put across that although some of us seem to be big-headed or 'entitled' you could not believe the suffering that we have had this past seven years. Bought by owners that promised us signings such as Beckham and Ronaldinho that then admitted 'after' relegation from the PL that they did not even know that clubs could get relegated. How these sheisters were ever allowed to own a football club is a travesty. They never come to games, communicate with fans or do anything other than asset strip our proud club and meet with the manager once a year (he has to fly to India - they seemingly do not know about Skype).
We always knew our place as a town club that punched well above our weight and we were proud of that tag but Jack Walkers legacy is being destroyed. The heart and soul has been ripped out of our club that is now 100+ million in debt and is now being used as nothing more than an accounting tool by an Indian firm that is using our losses to hide profits from other ventures. As a fan of this club my entire lifetime (im 39 now) I am heartbroken to see where we have fallen under this lot.
On the upside, I know I am fortunate as well, to see my club win the league, the League Cup and follow them on European adventures. I understand that others have not been fortunate enough to say the same, so I have to be humble.
We have tried everything to get rid of them but they dont seem to be going anywhere despite obviously not giving a damn anyway.
Half our fanbase is gone due to protesters, boycotters and yeah - some of the PL fair weathers that now support city.
Good luck for the rest of the season - having gone to all away games so far this season, I will put your guys up as being the most down-to-earth and humblest supporters I have met this season. I really hope you maintain your start and go up (with us).
Oh, just to clarify how heartbroken I am, this clip from ten+ years ago was the last time I felt happy being a Rovers fan.

I found it hard to pick a MotM yesterday. Everyone played well but everyone made mistakes too - real team performance. I'd single out Bolton for praise though. Against Wigan, he struggled with his positioning in the first half and was exposed. He was solid throughout yesterday. On a couple of occasions in the second half he was left isolated at the back post when they crossed from their right but he dealt with the threat superbly. Last season I think we'd have conceded. That overhit cross that went straight for a throw in though .....

Cracking performance- as others, I would have taken a point at the start but was disappointed with that at the end.
Henderson 6 safe hands but not much to do. Brown 8 MoM for me - ran non-stop, good defensive play and good going forward Sadler 7 very good solid game Nsiala 8 a goal and some tackles that were great, couple of mistakes but generally great Bolton 6 good return, a few more mistakes than normal but looked better than Riley Rodman 6 played well without really shining, great energy and tackling back Godfrey 7 very good game, couple of errors but generally very solid Ogogo 8 fantastic energy and endeavour, if only he could score Nolan 8 great on the ball, fewer tackles than normal and looked a bit tired Whalley 6 80% of his play was great, tackling back, running through etc, but the 20% end ball / shot was dire. Missed an easier chance than Payne's. Payne 7 good game and a good player, disappointed with the service he got and he had to leave his best position to get the ball too often.

Enjoyed that article. Good to have something written by someone who understands the lower leagues and isn't patronising. I love the way he undermines Mowbray's billy big club quote.
I still have to keep reminding myself that Nolan isn't Ryan Woods. The similarity's uncanny but I can't believe it happened again watching him against Blackburn. Anyone else still doing that? Time on the ball, just like Woods and (dare I say it) Paul Scholes. You don't have to have played, or even watched, much football to understand how rare that ability is.
Chesterfield's other nine outfield players must have been a really poor lot for them to have finished last with Nolan in their team.

Well done Mr Robertson - fab article and one which warms the cockles of every Salop supporter I'm sure.
I think someone should pin this article on on Mr Mowbrays office wall - 'Blackburn should be beating Shrewsbury' ...My arse
Mr Hurst you should be very proud of your team..........we are!!
