I'm going under the knife on Saturday, so I hope that I come round to Town having a resounding win and still sitting proudly at the top of the league. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

No matter what we will still top the league come 1700 Saturday (I have an O level in stating the bleeding obvious!) Not if Wigan win tonight and Saturday. See the Post below my original post!!

38 games remaining to get the following would take us to 73 points which should take a team to the play offs:
Win Draw Lose 13 12 13
Surely achievable?
On to Blackburn anyway, I'd take a draw definitely.
Looks like a big crowd will be there, just hope we can put in a decent performance.

We are the team to beat, no matter where we end up we currently sit top of the league and we should revel in that fact. Bring Blackburn Rovers on ( if they were still all that they would still be in The Championship or The Premiership ) bring them all on on. No fear, no fawning respect to so called illustrious opposition. Come on Salop !!

If it takes till next May to come out of the anaesthetic it suggests things haven't gone well

If it takes till next May to come out of the anaesthetic it suggests things haven't gone well Two points. 1) we may not have to wait until May to be crowned Champions, December will see us with enough points. 2) The NHS isn't what it was.

Good luck to Shrewder and I hope it's not too serious.
If Blackburn turn up with the same attitude as Wigan, we'll win.
Whatever happens, I know we'll put up a fight, work hard, wear the shirt with pride and make them work for a result, that's all we can ask.
Breath on 'em Salop.

Does anybody know what the situation is with Payne's facial injury? Will he be fit for Saturday?
Perhaps the club want to keep Blackburn guessing our line-up.

Blackburn point of view .. Last week was a real kick in the nuts for us , after winning 4 on the bounce Wimbledon at home should have been a cake walk , it wasn't an attitude problem it was just one of those games were we didn't turn up, the Ref was determined to be centre of attention and Wimbledon , to their credit rode their luck and the points .. On to Saturday , because of that poor result/performance Mowbray will be determined to take something from the game and it is in those circumstances he tends go a tad negative gets a goal and tries to shut up shop , bad news we still have 2 or 3 first teamers injured or not fully fit and today I think we have lost another in Craig Conway , good news it that should allow Bradley Dack and Harry Chapman to start , who we have on loan from Middlesbrough , this kid is a real talent , left footed but can play on either wing very skilful very direct very dangerous , reminds me a lot of Damien Duff , the winger we sold to Chelsea , defensively Elliot Ward was awful in the last game it would concern me if he starts our full backs are not the quickest or most mobile so there could be some joy for you there if we get a goal in front it could be a professional (boring) 1-0 like S****horpe last week.... If you score first there could be plenty of goals

So reading that, it seems that Blackburn have lost 3 or 4 first team regulars... and all of their full stops. I almost passed out from loss of breath.

Good memories of Damien Duff though. What a superb "Pro": over 630 appearances including a hundred caps for the Republic of Ireland. Not many will surpass that.

With the good news on our injury front, I would imagine we will be looking at an unchanged team and bench for Saturday, keeping that settled side that Alex Rodman waxed lyrical about in his very upbeat interview in the Star.
Good too that Bryn Morris is back in training; there will be some competition for midfield places when he is fully fit.
