Looking at the BBC website England's last 7 test results now read
WLWLWLW
Anyone care to predict 4th test result

Looking at the BBC website England's last 7 test results now read WLWLWLW Anyone care to predict 4th test result Shouldn't be a surprise considering we are a relatively inexperienced side trying to play a new brand of cricket. Unfortunately some people don't see that and after every defeat it's "we are pathetic, RIP English cricket" etc.

All over in 2 and a bit days, could have an extra couple of test matches at this rate!

Us winning has saved Lyth's test career.
Would have been a certainty to have been dropped had we lost.

Another name to throw into the hat here, albeit a rank outsider.
Steven Davies of Surrey to open.

I think Adam Lyth will now have the rest of this series to prove if he has what it takes to be a long term option for England. I would expect Mark Wood to come back into the squad along with one other seam bowler. Not sure who this will be mind, Chris Woakes perhaps?

There are one or two that are suggesting that Ryan Sidebottom be persuaded to come out of international retirement for just one match. Not as far fetched as it seems. Very experienced bowler who is having an excellent season for Yorkshire and is well familiar with the Trent Bridge wicket having played for Notts for a few seasons.

You have to be playing div 1 cricket nowadays to get into the side imo. It's very rare for div 2 players to be given a go. @aggerscricket: Anderson out. Plunkett and Footitt in. (Lyth retained) Looks like Wood will come in for Jimmy.

well, Footitt is a Division 2 cricketer.

Fottitt is also an excellent bowler. Davies isn't an opener.

Exactly. Very rare. And he's made a squad, that's totally different to playing a test match.

@nhoultcricket: Aussies have packed the batting. Shaun Marsh in for Mitchell Marsh and Clarke drops to 5
wood playing for England. Huge toss, surely both captains will bowl. S marsh is an interesting one, scored 2 hundreds on this tour I think, but only about 15/16 in a career the same length. I can see Clarke making runs, he's no way a test match number 3/4.

What a start! 10-3! Clarke moving himself down the order buys himself two more deliveries.

Bye Pup! Broad has a 5fer after 19 balls! Must be the fastest in test history, surely?

5-6 must also be the cheapest 5fer. Believe he recently got the most expensive one in tests... Broad in a nutshell!

Being a sad act who once asked for "test cricket lists" for Christmas once, I remember a guy called Lohman once got 8-7!
