so we face another team battling relegation; who have had a slump in form and lost the last four games ,there manager has been sacked and often clubs then have a bounce..
so who will he pick ? who will be rotated ? i hope ferjiri and Campbell lead the charges, i hope haynes is back to help with some forward momentum , i would like to see Docherty start and Edwards come on as a sub. Grant will still be suspend so you would expect Norburn to continue as the holding defender. in Goal is Arnold fit? if not we might see Mitchell make his first start i really hope Ricketts does not choose Cook .
let us hope we see a return to the fast paces , one touch , pressing high and keeping it on the ground football we saw in the first half against Doncaster. There are no easy games things are on a knife edge the bottom four is like a game of musical chairs we just dont wont to be there when the music stops, so it is a top priority to not lose ,to be clinical and consistent . who scores first could be pivotal in this game we dont wont to give Rochdale or there fans any reason to feel confident.so let us hope town score first and silence the home crowd.
we also know these are the sort of games town have a history of slipping on the banana skin and under-performing .

The sooner we get a few more points on the board the happier I would feel, this is a game that is there to be won but the way Town often perform in such games gives me an uneasy feel tbh.

We could go up to 12th with a win.
It’s a must not lose game, in my opinion.
A win would put us in a great position to avoid relegation though.

Arnold Williams Waterfall Bolton Whalley Docherty Norburn Laurent Haynes Fejiri Campbell
Subs Mitchell, Beckles, Sadler, Edwards, Gilliead, Payne, Sears
There's an argument for not having both Beckles and Sadler on the bench and adding either AAH or Smith.
However, I suspect SR will leave Edwards in and perhaps drop Laurent. His crazy policy of rotating the keepers will probably mean Charles Cook on the bench.

It's a game I haven't missed in years. And I've never seen us win here. Please let this be the year. Nothing lasts forever!

Also factor in that record we have at Rochdale... which is GOD AWFUL! we must get a result there some time . for me it depends on which players get rotated . i had better sit down a pessimist trying to find a positive.!

Amidst all the rotation nonsense from Ricketts the only constant has been his selection of the back three and goalkeeper. So, fitness of Arnold permitting, that should stay the same at Rochdale.

Ricketts on the Rochdale game. www.shrewsburytown.com/news/2019/march/sam-ricketts-pre-rochdale/"Wimbledon are a good side but we nullified a lot, which made it look like they didn’t want the win". Yes Samuel, they're such a good side that they're nine points adrift of safety at the bottom of the table. He must be having sleepless nights at the prospect of facing Rochdale if he thinks Wimbledon are a good side.

We are definitely over due some luck there after the last two visits. Last seasons penalty and then not a penalty nonsense and the season before and the farce around their second goal.
Rochdale are a friendly enough club but it ends at the officials are far as we go.

Id like to see him stick with edwards really, remember that was his first game in how long! He got into alot of goal scoring situations but didn't get the right pass from teammates. He's only going to get better with game time. Class is permanent!! The rust will come off soon i hope.

That would suggest that Wimbledon May be slightly better than Rochdale. West Ham msy also have some views on the merits of Wimbledon.

Not sure on all these team selections, I think we should rotate the squad a bit more, seems to be paying dividends going by our results since Sam took over....... Players must be getting well knackered at this stage of the season too.......
