Personally felt a lot more assured when Mitchell was in goal. Dominated his area from the first cross he had to deal with, unlike Arnold who was again rooted to his line! I don’t wish an injury on any player, but hope Mitchell retains his place for the next game I agree totally, but 90 minutes at rochdale is a proper test if it goes that far, looked like hes ready to prove a point if nothing else felt sorry for Arnold today, had nothing to do and when called upon got injured wasn't sure myself if he was totally committed to the challenge sometimes this can lead to an injury if half hearted, ok sometimes being over committed can too, need to see it again to be sure either way, hes going to be hesitant for a while as far as diving into a challenges goes, this applies for every player, every position, but worse for a keeper funny old game

Meltdown I'd imagine. But it is Charles Cook's turn. Utterly crazy not to know who your number 2 keeper is.

I wouldn't want to tell either keeper that they are starting just yet, could make them a bag of nerves all week I tell them to both be ready and the decision will be made on saturday that Mitchell will start ;-)

I would hope he would let his chosen goalkeeper know, in private, well before Saturday if, as sounds likely, Arnold isn't going to make it. I think that would settle that player down more than finding out on Friday/Saturday. Whoever is going to play will also need to be more involved in training specific for this game. e.g. defending set pieces, countering anything specific that Southend do.

Its odd,all the rotating and tinkering yet the keeper is never dropped despite some poor errors?
