Keep up the good work.
Think it would be good if you added a short section where you can just run down the results elsewhere in L1, maybe run through the table just like a short summary of what’s going on in the league outside of Shrewsbury.
Not a criticism as I know it’s something you guys have to do aswell as work etc, but I think it would be good to get he perspective of the whole division too.
Haven’t missed an episode since no1 so thanks for the regular updates.

Some times we do, normally when it matters. Ollie used to do a section on it each week but we dropped it...
At the moment when Mid table not all that vital... something we will discuss.

Lots of content has been out on the Salopcast feed over the Christmas break but have not updated this post until today.
EP23 for the season is the latest which covers Sunderland and Accrington. Two VERY different games.

EP 25 is now live is a banger as Glyn and Ollie take apart a lackluster, shambolic and worring 3-0 loss to Chalrton of all teams! Town are dire and there are a lot of questions about attitude, tactics, players, manager and recruitment! So close to a very historic win over Wolves but its snatched away right at the death as a barrage of expensive subs make the difference. Just listened to the podcast. I thought it was a very frank and true description of the Bradford and Luton game, the frustrations of the fans; lack of leadership and players not understanding what they need to do but also not doing what they are paid to do, not putting in the effort required. The blame culture in the side is evident and needs to be stamped out but this comes from poor leadership. A worrying time for fans. I hope that Rickets, Caldwell and players listen to the podcast and hear some home truths. The only thing I didn't agree with was Arnold third in MOM whilst conceding all this goals in the 2 games - imo not good enough, doesn't deserve the praise

Thanks for the feedback... it was kinda done as a bit of a joke to show that a man who let in 7 goals this week was one of the better players across it!!!!
We could have binned off the top three to be honest both games other than FEY!
But thanks for the comments, yes felt it was time to press the button on some home truths for the players, they might never listen to it but its not for them its for fans of debate on STFC and lets be honest considering where we are they have avoided a lot of the blame for this disastrous looking season.
I'm aware some at the club listen to it, i think its grand they do, its a good feel for what fans are feeling and the frustrations, but also at the good times full of praise for mangers players and the club. Go back to last season it was positive all the way. But this season you ant be like that. We praised the stewards, the bar and the off field stuff this week, but it gets swamped by the anger of the two results sadly....
Oh to be mid table and not worrying about all this!

Pride at Wolves, followed by "The Battle of the Memorial Ground"
Legs are flying, red cards, goals, another two tone STFC performance, improved defense, still a lack of cutting edge when needed. Dave Edwards continued his disaster of a comeback so far! Fans throwing stuff at a STFC car with injured player, a ref who lost control, a swearing competition in the still positive fans on the terrace... it was ALL going on at the Mem.

Oh dear. Another home game down and still no win. Sam Ricketts is finding league 1 very tough! This week we look back at the Burton snorefest, try to figure our just what Sams Plan actually is and sadly for the first time question what Ricketts position with the board and fans is like. Also plenty of criticism for the under performing (or not?) players.
We desperately need a win!

A busy seven days ended with 7 point from 9 and but for a poor call on a penalty it could have been 9/9. A very impressive win over Doncaster was followed but by a tame 0-0 draw vs the leagues bottom club but town are now in the middle of the "Slow Escape" to softy this season! A tale of performance vs points this week as the Town are pretty rubbish for two games but get a much needed win after a late turnaround. Wycombe full mugged.
Saturday becomes pretty toxic for Sam Ricketts with open rebellion on the terraces, but the man he dropped, who fans constantly changed for comes on to save him.
We live in interesting times.

A very interesting week where Salopcast were invited to the very first "focus group" event with the manger which we go over in great detail followed by a more encouraging performance but ultimately zero points... the trap door to League 2 opens just that bit wider.

This week we are joined by B and A Messageboard legend Scooter for a review of the Southend game...
Salop went to the seaside and came back with the most vital three points of the season so far to take a giant leap forward to safety.
A solid 2-0 win moves Town up to the heady heights of 15th and just a couple more wins away from having a relaxed summer.
Next week is massive, home to struggling Sc***horpe. If you want to help roar the lads onto safety, get down and pack the Meadow. Town are doing special ticket officers....

Two games, two losses over easter and after throwing away the golden oppertunity to be safe vs 10 man Oxford fury erupted online and in the stadium towards the players, Ricketts and the boys at the top as the death match that is this season rolls on. Town are great at Barnsley and get nothing to add to the frustrations vs Oxford and with results not quite being ideal last night there is still a chance we could go down with 2 to play. Job done, safety secured for another season. This weeks Pod was recorded just hours after the 1-1 draw at Coventry and with a sense or contentment that we dont have to worry for a few months! But it was not a stellar 90 minutes again, and as usual plenty of talking points including Walsall next week, and some thoughts looking forward to the summer. I enjoyed the end of season reviews but I found it annoying when people kept butting in and talking over Lewis Cox and Mark Elliott when they were trying to make points or answer questions.
