Had more time than most to prove he can cut the mustard...if you think of the players in recent history who did not get half as many chances to prove them selfs, he could have no complaints if he was dropped for the next game...... There's the problem..... He can't be dropped because there's no one else, perhaps that's contributing to his lack of form???
Desperate times at the meadow I'm afraid

Has he actually had a shot on target in our 3 games so far?
I don't think he has.

Cleaned Roland's car nice and shiney Yet another dig.... 10 other players not cutting it right now also. You should change your name from Fran to Doug , pop or something more in line with your blinkered outlook.

Yes, that's a stupid thing to say. Everyone knows you have to clean GT's car to be certain of a first team place.

Given that he hasn't had the same strike partner as he had in pre-season and has now had at least 2 different partners so far this season in 3 games, i'm not to sure how people can expect him to do too much better, remember that Luke Rodgers had Jemmo alongside him for a long time to help in his evolution.

Yes, it's been tough for Bradshaw with no experience alongside him but I still think his decision-making and general play isn't good enough for L1. Of those who resigned in the summer I've always thought he's the weakest.

Yeah, but lets face it he would'nt of been on the biggest of contracts and I still think he was worth the risk.

Well like I've said on other threads he hasn't had the same strike partner so far this season, so not sure what you really expect from a young striker, I would think that building a relationship with a strike partner is quite important, has worked in the past in any number of title winning sides at any level.

Must be tough for the lad being lambasted by 'supporters' from the very first minute.

Yeah, but lets face it he would'nt of been on the biggest of contracts and I still think he was worth the risk. But then he should be treated like a risk i.e. one of 4/5 strikers in the squad who, if doing well as a sub or in the ressies, gets a run. Not the first striker on the teamsheet cos theres nowt else.

When we were scoring goals for fun in pre-season with a fully fit first team I'm not sure that too many people thought there was a problem with Bradders being on a contract. Most people would have thought we could make it through August without major signings until the injuries hit. Come the end of August it is obvious that enforcements will come, as players realise that they don't have a club and some of their pay damands are un-realistic and they have no employer. Bradders is a player still in development and should be considered as such, he needs experiecne around him to deveolop.

He should be a league 1 player or somebody like Steve Leslie. I don't think he'll ever be a decent player at this level.

Bradshaw has not scored a goal that mattered in 2 years. This partner stuff means nothing really as we must judge his performance. He is clearly not up to it as is Jones.
We need a target man to partner Burke/Marsden. It seems pretty clear the lad is not up to it. At what other football league club would he be playing?

Bradshaw may or may not turn out to be an inspired move by turner this season, but a few thoughts if I may.
He's not scored for 2 years? How many games / runs in the team has he had in that 2 years? It is made to sound like he has played week in week out! As someone has pointed out, whose his partner been and has it been a settled and developed partnership?
He is a young lad whose confidence is fragile. Having people ridicule you or barrack you is going to make things worse.
The way people both on here and at the ground treat our own players sickens me sometimes. As a fan base I really feel we get what we deserve. We wonder why some players are poor here yet go to another club and shine?
Sometimes we need to take a long hard look at ourselves.

What Matron said, only I'd have used cruder language and specifically called people rude names for their appalling posts.

Felt sorry for Bradshaw yesterday. Trying to battle against 6 foot plus tall defenders to win headers is never going to happen. That isn't his fault.

Good post Matron. Personally I don't rate Bradshaw, I don't think he should have been given a contract and I certainly don't think he should be our leading striker at the start of the season
However the focus on him so early on from our fans has been ridiculous, I actually fear for the lad in the next game because if he makes one or two early mistakes then the crowd will jump on him which will just make it worse. If we had any other options he should be taken out if the firing line and shipped off on loan to hopefully build his confidence.

Don't rate him really but he'd have more chance if there was someone alongside him who could hold the ball up, lay it off and also win some headers so Bradshaw could feed off the second ball.
