It's obvious why we're not taking that many - Vale's high prices, economic climate, over 4,000 going to Arsenal, early kick off, cricket final and the unattractiveness to many of the exchanges with the Vale hostiles. Still not decided whether to go myself. I expect it'll end up being around 600 on the day, which is fine. 600 is about right, for the reasons you've stated. I'm going to Vale and Arsenal but, if I could only choose 1, I'd choose Vale (even taking into account the facts that I live in London and I've never been to the Emirates). A raucous atmosphere in a blood-and-thunder, top of the table clash is far more attractive to me than watching us get our arses slapped by Arsenal's uninterested reserves in a silent aircraft hanger. I suppose I can see why others might think otherwise, however. I still reckon there'll be a good noise at Vale. There'll be a higher proportion of die-hards there and they'll be more concentrated together.

If people aren't prepared to pay £20.50 I'm guessing no ones going to Swindon away then!!

Was kinda hoping your players would be avoiding 50/50 challenges, we don't want injuries before the big cup game do we!? I predict 3-2 OR 2-3, we've had that result 3 times already this season............

For the first time ever I'm opting another sport over football and not going to the s**thole that is Vale Park and the surrounds. Off to Derbyshire CCC to watch Shrewsbury in the final of the ECB National Knockout competition against Cambridge Granta £10 on the coach, free admission to the game. I missed Shrewsbury at Lords in 1993 as I went up to Grimsby to watch Town (1-1, McNally from virtually the half-way line) In those days I didn't miss any Town games, full-stop, but also part of me always wishes I had of gone to the home of cricket to watch Shrewsbury lift the trophy I went to Grimsby as well, and Lords sounded great, but I will still be at Vale. I can't understand why Shrewsbury played all the earlier rounds on a Sunday, and the final is on a Saturday I know Scooter, very disappointing. I was talking to James Garrison at the semi-final at London Road and asked him if he knew when the final was as I hadn't seen a date, just that it was at Derby, when he said the Saturday I groaned but then asked him if he knew who Town had that day. As soon as he said Vale away I began wondering about going to the cricket as Vale away isn't really a pleasant away trip at all.

I would really like to know WHY Vale away is not a pleasant away trip? And BEFORE we harp on about Burslem etc, it's 90 minutes inside the best [Or second best at worst], ground in the division? And BEFORE we mention a the unfinished stand part of the agreement signed with the investors is that that will be completed within 12 months, now then???.......

Better/equal grounds in this division than Vale Park in my opinion - not based purely on size.
Bradford City Southend United Gillingham (apart from the away end) Oxford United Plymouth Argyle Shrewsbury Town Swindon Town

Bradford.... Oxford.... Swindon.... Southend.... Plymouth all much better than vale park!
Would also prefer a 10,000 capacity ground over half full every game than a bigger ground only around 1/5 full! 3,500 or so empty in the away end but 12,000 empty in the home end.... tut tut

And there is are GOOD reasons why you currently have 700 [WELL done], more at home than us is there not!? For one, Hereford must have taken that many to yours, for two, we have 1,000+ boycotting ALL home games till Bratt & Oliver have gone as soon they will be. Anyone want a bet our home average will be WELL above yours by the seasons end? Oh and that bet stands DESPITE the 300 you're bringing tomorrow and the WELL over 1,000 we'll be taking to Subuttio ville............lol

Seems like some of those boycotting are starting to return according to OVF. Unlucky. Yes, I will take that bet on, because for a start, there are going to be more than 300 of us there, and whatever number you say you will bring to us always seem to be about half by the time you visit. Thanks, sheffield61!
