I agree on that, and I think you'll find that Cardiff City are trying to be switched to the English FA. Have been for the last year. One problem, Cardiff are Welsh. Goes back to the original point! Yes, Cardiff are Welsh, and? They're in the nPower league, have been in that sort of league for years. They have every right to be in the league, just as much as every other team does.

I dont want it both ways, I am English, born, bred and proud. I have posted on here before about getting a giant sthil saw and cutting Wales and Scotland off my beloved country. Let them create their own wealth without the billions of English tax money going to them to pay for free higher education or prescriptions, If we are one nation then why does that system favour them? I think you'll find the Scots would be happy let you keep your taxes if you let them keep their oil revenue and scotch revenue. I think you'd find that it wouldnt add up to that much... The tax is generated when the product is sold to the consumer, both in VAT and government tax. add to the FACT that most of the oil companies are NOT scottish, not even British, they are globally owned companies who probably have Cayman Isle, Isle of Man banks. Where is the biggest consumer market in the UK for alcohol sales, petrol & diesel sales, more companies (hence more fuel costs).. Would that be England? yep it would, where does the tax money go from English people? err. yep, Wales and Scotland to pay for their various assemblies, their, infrastructure, their health care, their education etc. etc. The Welsh assembly wasted 300, 000 pounds on a piece of art for its main building, where did that money come from? Oh I know, rock sales from Rhyl. 1.25 Million a year in rent for their assembly building, why cant they sit in Parliament with the other MPs? 2.5 million paid for by the Welsh Assembly for a new road to Celtic Manor (a private business) for the Ryder Cup. Read the attached link.. They even have offices in China FFS!!! Surely a British government should govern Britain, the Welsh assembly can even create new laws called Assembly Measures that just affect Wales.. www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/how_many_offices_do_the_welsh_as

Just to add, this was supposed to be about Welsh teams in English Football (or rather Cardiff in the Prem)... Gone a bit off track I think.. IMO Cardiff have no right in the Premier league or the English league... My opinion and I wont change it...

Kick all welsh clubs out of english football. If the premiership is named the English premiership it should be only for English teams simple as. Ok, so if you this point to to the nth degree then ALL clubs in the 'English' premier league should contain only English owners, English managers and English players....it wont be much of a league then would it? let alone a PREMIER league...

Very short memories shrews fans. There was a time when Town fans were not so angelic, EBF comes to mind, and before you say that they are not true fans , that can be said of every hooligan element attached to football these days. As for who should or should not qualify, how about the likes of liverpool being knocked out of the Champions league and given a wild card into the Europa league, when we all know that pompey should have qualified. And weather you like the welsh or not, their is a signifcant number who make up the attendance at the meadow while many salopians go off to watch the likes of wolves , villa and the mancs. Yes you have guessed right,I am a Cardiff fan, but also a season ticket holder at the meadow, im one of the sheep shaggers that the away fans chant about. God lets hope they never let Celtic and Rangers join the premier league, then you will have something to gripe about. I too was born and bred in Wales yet I have followed the Town home and away for over 35 years, like many others from across the border...

Well the question is would the league of wales welcome a team from England? I doubt it very much just say a lower league side like Boston united tryed to join would welsh teams like rhyl or TNS risk losing money made from the champions league money the answer would be no. Apologies if this has already been answered, it is a topic close to my heart but its getting late and haven't got the time to go through all the other threads to see if Heavenlyshrews post has been replied to. Anyway the answer is NO, Kington Town and Morda FC were kicked out of the welsh pyramid system because they are in England. Interesting to see than TNS are okay to play in it though! Thanks for posting that

Oh dear! The same old racism, bigotry, anti-Welsh sentiment and un-educated postings from the Salopian Muller rice fields. Some of you losers – and you are well familiar with losing, especially on your hallowed turf Wemberley – are still spouting off the same crap season after season!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would have thought that after England’s efforts in S Africa some of you would have learnt to keep it shut eh? Mupppets

The Welsh teams should be allowed to play in our Leagues BUT If WE weren't allowed to qualify for Europe when we were invited by the Welsh FA to take part in the competition then the same rules should apply to the welsh teams too . Can you imagine what incredible matches we could have had at the Gay Meadow under Turner's first reign ? The Welsh FA ? What a joke !

Have you read all the counter-arguments from the people you just labelled muppets? Or are you reading what 2-3 people think and jumping on it. You don't work for the Daily Mail do you?

Not sure why Cardiff fans would be all that bothered what a few Salopians think. Also not sure why they can't read the balance in this debate as the people criticising the welsh clubs have been roundly hammered on even the most basic points of their argument.

I enjoyed this contribution to the thread on the Cardiff forum
I've read it back about ten times, and still have no idea what his point is.

Same again this season Yeh, we've had a couple of trips to wembley, and last year was just boring mid table stuff, I want to follow in Wrexhams footsteps, getting relegated and unable to come back up. Looks quite fun does rotting away in the conference.

If i was born in Texas in the USA and had and Oklehoma mum and a californian dad it would go something like this. American Texan Californian Oklehomian

By saying British you cover all four countries of the UK and, strictly speaking, the Irish Republic because British refers to the British Isles.
