Anyway forget all the doom and gloom where’s everyone drinking before the game? I'll be having a couple in the "lambs to the slaughter" and then a quick one in "the cemetery" and after the game I'll be drowning my sorrows in "the chairmans arms"

Huddersfield the team my favorite player of all time played for. Frank Worthington. They don't have anyone like that now so we should keep the score reasonable. My prediction is another Nil points but a solid performance People still say his name in hushed tones on the Wirral. The forward line he produced became Tranmere legends,Ian Muir,Colin Clarke,Jonny Morrissey and himself the defense was non existent 🙄🤪😁

My prediction is Huddersfield Town 6-0 Shrewsbury Town Don't go on the Huddersfield message board as 6-0 seems to be a low prediction according to their fans🤪 Pride comes before the fall

Probably a formation change if Winchester, Rossiter and some of the others are injured. Hurst at Full back ?

Hope this comes back to haunt me, but going up against a promotion contender away from home with a spine of Nsiala, Pierre, Biggins, Perry and Marquis only spells total annihilation.

Don't post often, but what's with the Benning bashing?? For me full credit for his improvement and impact on the second half of last season, but the fact that he’s now seen as untouchable and one of the first names on the team sheet is a sign of everything that’s wrong with us at the moment. A good honest pro who gets up and down the wing and has some moments of quality on the ball, but defensively incredibly poor and there’s a reason he’s been around the lower reaches of the league for his career. But please note I’m certainly not singling him out, just trying to discuss him objectively.

Not saying he's untouchable but to put it diplomatically he's far from our worst issue!

Don't post often, but what's with the Benning bashing?? He contributes a lot the attack down the left but he is prone to been caught out of position. In the Peterborough game he was up against a very good number 11 but the player feinted right and went left and it fooled him five times and each time the player caused problems, a more defensive minded defender would know to guide him down the touchline, against Fulham he was very poor and made a very stupid challenge in the box and they had a penalty.but all the dendets had a bad night As for your question I don't think it is enough to justify giving a bashing on the forum but I think considering our performance there are a lot of frustrated and disappointed fans

A free hit and a 'big' club experience for the players. Good luck.

Have said before that Benning isn't the best player but the best improved player.

I think the issue with Benning is getting the best partner just ahead of him in the midfield - he was doing well with Shipley playing there last season but for some reason Shipley has been moved inside (where he is less effective overall despite scoring a few goals from there) and Benning was left to cope on his own with one of the best wingers In League 1 and a pacy overlapping wingback in the Peterborough game with predictable results.

Football ain't played on paper.
Go out there without pressure and enjoy the game. All I ask is 100% effort.
Looking forward to it.

I honestly think a return of the dreaded 5-3-2 would make sense for this considering our injuries and poor form, but not sure how viable it is with only four fit defenders. Maybe Benning as a left sided centre back in a three, and Shipley in at wing back?
Feel like we’ll get destroyed with Pierre, Nsiala, Biggins and Perry as a central four.
Savin Hoole, Nsiala, Pierre, Benning, Shipley Perry, Biggins O’Reilly, Kayode, Sagoe
A counter attacking setup would probably suit O’Reilly and Sagoe nicely.

Benning and Shipley worked better on the left than whatever poor soul was partnered with Bloxham on the right.

Really looking forward to this one, but mostly as it's a stadium I've wanted to visit for a long time. Doubtless I'll have plenty of time to ponder our inevitable defensive frailties on my long drive back to Suffolk.

Over 600 away tickets sold. For me personally, whilst it would be a new ground and I want to support the team, I cannot justify £50+ and a whole day on something I currently feel so bleak about. Hope the town can pull off some sort of shock but severely doubt it. Savin Hoole - Nsiala - Pierre - Benning Biggins - Perry O’Reilly - Shipley - Sagoe Kayode Subs: Young, Bloxham, Lloyd, Marquis and some empty seats. Prediction: 3-0 defeat All credit to the travelling fans I do admire them A fair number of those travelling fans won't be going to Hollywood game

Our away form against bigger teams last season was pretty good. I’d take a point and going for a 1-1.

Every single thing points to a Salop loss.
So I fancy our chances.

I'm disappointed no one has said the "it's the sort of game we will get hammered or sneak a 1-0 win", that is a classic one you normally hear for games like this. And a bit like the "we always play better against the better sides", it's something which rarely comes true.
