The goalkeeper trialist is from Telford. The other trialist was released by, surprise, Cheltenham in the summer. This squad is shaping up to be the bargain bucket of league one. From Cheltenham I'd guess Olayinka or Adshead? Keeper possibly just being borrowed to fill a gap?

Savin, Pierre and O’Reilly not in squad. Triallist keeper and another triallist. Nor Feeney. But I'd prefer them to not be playing today if they have any injury even a minor one.

This just reminds me of when Jake King took over and got in cheap and the family jewels Walton and Currie etc left, we knew it wouldnt work then and here we go again

I feel sorry for all the loyal supporters who keep buying their season tickets, but yet the club appear to be obtaining players on the cheap. Mr Wycherley has a duty to the fan base to see that the club is competing in division 1, otherwise he should step down with immediate effect and put the club into administration. To have another season of poor football and hoping to survive in league 1 is not good enough. The damage this will do would be catastrophic, as a likely relegation would see season tickets plum it and prolong the decline of the club. Its about time we heard from Mr Wycherley himself, rather than hide behind his yes men in Moore and the new ceo.

Anyone know who the guy leading the warm ups is? They got rid of the old fitness coach, and so presume he is the replacement but can't see that anything has been mentioned

Fair dos I wasn't expecting much but that squad at this stage is absolutely ****ing desperate. Never seen us so weak in a first pre season game.

I would not want to see the club go under, of course not, I have supported them since 1982 when my next door neighbour was Bob Wardle. I love the club, but something needs to happen and happen soon other wise the club will go under.

it might be crap but its normal for us No it's not. Compare this season's recruitment and friendlies with the last time Hurst was here. Were way behind. We know why but this isn't like a usual season's preparations.

Think we all agree something needs to happen to move the club forward but going into admin simply isnt the way is it?

I'm only following the game on here, not heard any news from the ground. Do I take it we are losing going by a post or two?
Well we did lose the last time we went there last time Hurst was here, didnt have a bad season afterwards though did we.

Its about time we heard from Mr Wycherley himself, rather than hide behind his yes men in Moore and the new ceo. So the choices available are: sign unaffordable players and see the club go into administration, or step down and put the club into administration? I suspect both of those options would be a little more disrespectful to the supporters putting their money in... I don't want us to struggle or have another season of rubbish players, but statements from the chairman, rushed sales and the like are not going to solve anything. Trust in the people in charge to look after their best interests i.e. Keeping the club in as good a situation as possible so their jobs and investments respectively are protected. Nobody is trying to do things to the detriment of club.

I dont know if going into administration would be the best thing or not, like a coin there are two sides to everything. Go into administration at least forces the issue and the fans would know what is happening to the club. But on the other hand we would need a buyer straight away. Currently, the fan base has not got a scobby do as to what the real issues are and what is happening at the club. One thing I know is that Mr Wycherley needs to release his power from the club that he has built up and has helped over the last twenty years or so, otherwise we will be gone and will have to reform as AFC Shrewsbury at a later date.

I think Shrewdshrewsupporter made some very good points, we are all concerned what is going on at STFC. If Mr Wycherley addressed the fan base before the season starts, I think this would help.
