]i for 1, are delighted he hasn't signed for us. Local lad, yes, but if we had signed a random keeper of his age with his record, this board would be in melt down, blaming the budget etc. 103 games, 13 clubs. we might as well kept Burgoyne
2013–2017 Shrewsbury Town 1 2013 → Market Drayton Town (loan)
2013 → Workington (loan) 1 2014–2015 → Nuneaton Town (loan) 3 2015 → Southport (loan) 4 2016 → Nuneaton Town (loan) 6 2017 → A.F.C. Telford United (loan) 11 2017–2019 Hull City 0 2017 → Salford City (loan) 3 2018–2019 → Chesterfield (loan) 19 2019–2021 Cambridge United 37 2021–2024 Plymouth Argyle 18 2024– Wrexham 0 (0) [/quote]
😄😄 Had a few loans hasn't he😁 Seems as if he's made a career being a number two 😳

As we know stats don’t always reflect the full picture. I have a mate who’s a big Plymouth fan and says he was awesome for them in the season they got promoted from League 1.

Yes I got told the same by another Plymouth fan I work with. Was very highly regarded & their fans all had positive things to say

It would have been interesting if we had Burgoyne & Burton both on the books as our GK’s for next year - both fighting for their place on the bench

Who's next on the list? Another goalkeeper, centre back, midfielder, striker and winger looking at the squad depth?

I'd be looking at a midfielder and striker, especially a striker

But yeah he does mostly seem to be a no2. Maybe a more high end/pricey no2 than town would want though

Who's next on the list? Another goalkeeper, centre back, midfielder, striker and winger looking at the squad depth? Top of my list would definitely want another central midfielder, one that can hold onto the ball and someone up top as team looks pretty shy of goals right now. Back up keeper but that's a given really. The rest are probably more squad builders - another wide player and another forward of some sort. Id like another centre back for first team but don't think that's realistic, especially if Nurse is considered a centre back as that would be 4. Probably going to another defender who might be able to play a few roles.

I'd be looking at a midfielder and striker, especially a striker A striker, or at least a proven striker has been way out of our league for quite a few seasons let alone right now. Expect another Carlton Morris (ie totally unknown youngster) with the goals (hopefully) shared around the midfield, flanks and from defenders at set pieces.

I’m sure we’d have been looked at Micky Mellons son on loan from Burnley - but he’s signed for Stockport on loan today

Still expect us to be in for Modou Faal - young striker from WBA.
Had two positive loans in league 2 last year , we’d be the next sensible step.

Whitworth who was mentioned a fair bit, has signed for Exeter on loan from Palace. Presume he will firmly be their No1 replacing Sinisalo from last season.
Was never likely for town once Savin was signed

A shame that there will be no Whitworth thread now but I thought perhaps there should be someone more experienced.
Is the trialist keeper Young just making up the numbers or could be a genuine signing?

Most engineers have been metricated now, it's not too painful. Anyway, let's make a bolt back to the thread, people will think we're nuts.

Josh Feeney went to Real Union with him. Lamaire Bogarde has been on loan with Bristol Rovers but returned in Jan from lack of game time. Rico Richards - on loan at Stockport County second half of last season

Suspect with the Euros over the Loans from the bigger clubs will pick up now.
Wander how much the loans are targeted or whether its a case of picking up scraps.
Fraser from Wolves is the interesting one and I'd like to see it happen.

I think we'll struggle to get a proven goalscorer coming to us. Wheel probably finish up taking a gamble on a U21 player with potential.
