Of course kane is a good player.....so in these euros,I want him to step up to the plate,in the big games that counts.but Southgate should rest him in some of the games, and put Watkins in....what if kane gets injured???what then? Plan B. Oh, Southgate hasn't got a plan B.

I have said all along that Kane should be first choice, but that he A: needs to up his game against the better teams and B: is going to need some downtime. I'm not the one that turned into a Kane v Watkins argument, although I still believe that Watkins can bring something different to the tournament and to the team and is worthy of more than just cameos from the bench.

Where does kane play for England now,I mean,he drops so deep into midfield,to get the ball, he'll probably take Declan rice's place before long

Anybody getting on Kaneβs back for what he does for England seriously doesnβt have any football knowledge. Look how much better we looked when he entered the field of play tonight. Shoutout to Grealish too who was outstanding when he came on.

BBC Sport are reporting that James Maddison will not be in the final squad of 26. He started the season very well but then got a bad ankle injury and clearly Foden and Palmer are now ahead of him in that creative midfield player role.

Not surprised at Jones, Quansah and Trafford missing out but Grealish and Maguire also reported as not making the cut. Presumably Maguires injury is worse than previously thought but I think Grealish could offer something different to any other wide man in the squad. Obviously his lack of game time for his club has counted against him.

Foden ,Bellingham, Cole & Kane have been on fire this season. if the defence can be anything remotely decent those guys in front of them will win this for us

Austria gave free rein to their attack on Tuesday night against Serbia. I can't remember the last time I saw a team go for it like that in a friendly. If they play as well going forward as they did on Tuesday as they did on Tuesday they may well surprise a few people

italy v Albania about to kick off, cant even remember Albania qualifying, how did that happen ? a couple of flattering wins today for the Swiss & Spain , 3-1 & 3-0, watched both games and they both seemed a lot closer to me than the scoreline suggests invested my free Β£1 bet winnings on a treble today and just need Italy to complete it, im preparing myself for the proverbial coupon buster , should cash out really as I'd love to see Albania pull off a shock

The tournament is averaging a cool four goals per game so far! Not too bad so far, and not all walkovers too, which I imagine is a concern with increased numbers in the tournament. Hungary and Albania definitely put up more of a fight than Scotland! England match I'm sure will be dull as dishwater but the other matches look hopefully interesting. Dutch need a win in a potentially hard group. All that said it feels weird to think a fair few 3rd placed finishers will go through too. Takes some of the jeopardy out

Great start to things. We're gonna stink the place out tonight aren't we? Seen a few Danes about this side of Stuttgart yesterday but with work haven't really got involved as yet but plan to head to town today to have a look and take in one of the games in at the fan park. Just to have a bit of a grumble though I don't think it'll be a sell out here today and would have certainly made the effort to go and watch the game if I could pick up some Fan First tickets but other than that you're looking at 150 Euro per ticket from what I can see is available. I just can't justify that as a neutral. Do think they could have sorted the ticket prices out a bit better.
