I think Dan Udoh has just got married, so he's on his honeymoon as we speak.
It could go either way with him I think, he may stay.

I agree that Price is a risk but I think with his wish to be here, we could’ve found a sensible middle ground that would’ve made the risk worth it rather than alienate someone who would instantly improve us and have an immediate affinity with the fans. For instance Dunkley came here extremely injury prone and on much bigger wages but look what an asset he was in that first season, you’d never have known about the injuries the year before. So yeah, I’d have Price as this years sole ‘fitness risk’ if it were me. Please spare me that he’s yet another of our players in talks with Wrexham though, they can’t be interested in all of them! As for Udoh, he’s off. He would’ve signed by now and we are more likely to see him here in pre season for someone else, and then twice again in the league. Are you aware of Mr Udoh’s summer plans?? Have you had it confirmed that he’s off?? Have you considered he might be weighing up his options and taking his time…. Or he might be negotiating a better deal…. Or he might have had other things planned…. Or he might have just got married…. Or he might currently be on honeymoon…? Perhaps he might be concentrating on one of the above in the immediate term 🤷🏼♂️ Just a thought!! Chill out, I’ve been told he’s off from an unreliable source. Put that together with the fact he’s not got his future sorted with just two weeks of his contract left, I’ve sided with the ‘off to pastures new’ crowd. Let’s hope I’m wrong and he doesn’t put several past us for Birmingham

Various things need to be considered. The time out injured, the severity of the injury plus the amount of match time he was able to get to build his match fitness. I would imagine that insurance would not be keen to pay his wages if he had a repeat of the same injury. This would mean the club would have to pay him in full for all the time he is incapacitated. We gave Nurse a two year deal so I’m not sure the club can use this as reasoning. Slight difference though. Both of Nurse’s knee ligament injuries happened while playing for us, so a sense of loyalty creeps in. Price was already on the long and lonely road to recovery from an injury sustained whilst playing abroad.

Congratulations on marriage, she's a lucky lady and hopefully a Shrewsbury Town fan who thinks he looks good in blue and amber.....

Is any insurance policy going to cover a player for a pre-existing condition when you take them on?

He’s also a young man who hopefully will do well in the future whereas Price is at the end of his.

Udoh has been training with George Nurse at Lilleshall helping him get back to fitness , we need to know either way whether hes stopping or going, dragging on abit now.

Don’t think he is sure himself, maybe the right offer hasn’t come in yet

Don’t think he is sure himself, maybe the right offer hasn’t come in yet He wants to be careful with this game he is playing , didn't de gea do similar at United only for them to tell him to do one when he finally rolled up to sign the contract that was offered as he couldn't find a better one I'd rather him sod off than mope around here because he couldn't get better elsewhere

I agree. Can't blame him for delaying though. Likely his only chance to step up.

If no-one has come in for him and made him a firm offer, isn't that telling us something?

I’m sure we can wait for Udoh to decide. It’s not like we haven’t got gaping holes all over the squad we can be getting on with in the meantime.

It’s not like we haven’t got gaping holes all over the squad we can be getting on with in the meantime. considering Udohs offer is certain to make him the highest paid player, whilst he keeps us hanging on, it could mean we are delaying and could miss out on a potential replacement hes like our version of Harry Kane at spurs, will he stay, wont he

I would presume Dan's present contract ends at the end of this month and there is a cut off date when he has to tell the club whether he is signing a new one. Town holding on til then before signing probably a young striker on loan. Difficult for the club when these things drag on.
