I watched dunks and Pierre play together against Cambridge.. ...both good in the air.....but torn apart on the ground, against the speedy Cambridge forwards.....so if Pierre stops, and plays,we need a quicker centre half by the side of him....imho

Well, myself I don't think Feeney is that quick,I would go for srha, but maybe Hurst might pull another rabbit out the hat👍👍

I’ll miss Marosi’s shot stopping but definitely not his kicking!!!

Benning turned out to be a decent signing and Pierre was ok but lets be honest, these are lower league journeymen. One couldn't get in a relegated Vale side, the other was released by L2 clubs, they were signed on a short term basis due to injuries
This isn't a moan (honest!) but just a reality check of the calibre of players we are going to be able to attract & afford if nothing changes this summer. I'm not discounting them because the likes of Whalley, Rodman, Toto, Brown, etc. were lower league journeyman too but it's going to be one hell of an ask for Hurst to get these players to gel like 17/18 (where they were complimented by excellent loan players)

I’ll miss Marosi’s shot stopping but definitely not his kicking!!! The reaction to Marosi going is interesting, people don't seem that bothered and the view is a decent goalkeeper isn't too hard to find. But how many times last season did he got MOM and/or make crucial saves to earn us points? Over the season, I suspect his saves earnt us more points than Udoh's goals but it will be the latter that fans will be most disappointed to see leave

On our budget for sure.

Seems like there may be a bit of movement on the contracts Benning apparently has signed Udoh is off Marosi is off Chey is off Well that’s what’s being put around social media anyway, so must be right 😂 I saw somewhere that Marko and Chey were both on close to 5k a week last season. If this is the case they'll both be off rather than halve their current wage to fall in with the new reduced wage structure (and can't really blame them - short career, final payday etc. etc.). Udoh I've read is holding out for 3k, if that's the case maybe there's more chance of him sticking around. Just stop being silly, no player at Shrewsbury was on £5,000 a week, total wage bill in the last Accounts for ALL Employees was £5,232,909 so 2 people getting 9.5% of the TOTAL Wage bill is poppycock.

Given our lack of goals it’s so important we get the right midfielders & strikers in. It’s been a real problem for the last 2-3 seasons whereas our defence has looked quite good sometimes over the same time frame. Whilst I agree with your points regarding MM, I do wonder whether having better kicker in goal will ultimately result in less pressure being put upon us during games. He’s been a great servant for us, no doubt - we’ll see. I see Craig MacGillivray has been released who I think played under Hurst for us in that season. Possibly linking up again?

I'm led to believe that Marosi was on in excess of 6k a week during his time with us (a good proportion of this was appearance based).

Yes he's expensive but he's a very good keeper at this level, it would be madness to be paying Burgoyne anything like that, however I can completely understand why Marosi would be a top earner But as for this £6k figure you are now banding about, clearly it's all hearsay but I understood he's on a 'basic' figure of approx £3.5k a week and with all the bonuses/add-ons, he could earn £6k week. Now that is clearly a lot of money for us but I suspect the amount of times he is earning that amount is quite rare, certainly he won't have got too many clean sheet bonuses As for your final point, I don't see anyone pointing any fingers so god knows where that has come from
