Does anyone know if these are still a thing?
I've found the fan card section on the website but on the page it says 'No memberships are available', there is a link to more information but when I click on the link it just says this page could not be found.

the ceo didn't like it one bit and so I wouldn't be surprised if it's been knocked on the head

That's the sort of thing I'd expect to be discussed at the fans parliament, rather than just disappearing with no acknowledgement of it. I won't get too critical (yet) as obviously it's just speculation

Question is are existing Fan Cards still valid? One of those things that wasn’t really thought out with no end date on the card can see some fans trying to claim the discount.

I won't get too critical (yet) as obviously it's just speculation He mentioned it at the last fans engagement meeting , said it makes no business sense, fair play if he's dealt with it already If it has gone, I'd expect that to be communicated to fans. Yes I know that you can argue that it was discussed at the panel but only tiny percentage of fans would be aware of that.
As for no business sense, I'd be interested to know why he feels that way. For me, it's way of attracting/rewarding casual fans, this is an area which I feel has been neglected since we moved to Oteley Road, and with matchday prices going up again this season then it feels it won't help matters.

Pay £5 , save up to £46 a season , every season As for speaking to the fans , I tell you what would be nice , if those Americans alleged to be about to take over spoke to the fans 😝

you can't see the problem ? Pay £5 , save up to £46 a season , every season By that logic, we may as well do with early bird season ticket's as that's saving the fans money too. I will tell you the problem. If I'm a casual supporter who has a fan card I paid £22 to buy a ticket on the day of the match this season, next season I will be paying £26 to do the same thing To me it's the same as Shropshire Council putting up car parking prices around town to try and bring in extra revenue, it's short-sighted and will just drive people away.

Just will be even less games we go to then. If the club wanted to find more ways to put me even more off after the terrible football last season was then well done them.

Maybe the club could become a non profit making registered charity and prioritise on helping ex season ticket holders get in cheap for selected games 😝😝

Two ways of looking at this Pilch 🤔 Makes no business sense to me if you try to save £4 now and again by turning down the possibility that someone might give you £22 on a fairly regular basis ??

Suprised to see the CEO doesn't see the value of a club membership scheme in the form of a paid sign up and customer data. It's pretty much how most businesses operate and try to achieve extra sales and loyalty.
Surely he should be looking to move the scheme to a yearly subscription model if he's unhappy with it rather than scrap it entirely.

I'm sure I won't be missed, but at a time you'd have thought the club wanted every penny it could have, they'd have rather had 22 pounds rather than none. My lost obviously.

Pay £5 , save up to £46 a season , every season As for speaking to the fans , I tell you what would be nice , if those Americans alleged to be about to take over spoke to the fans 😝 You’re only looking at it from the clubs point of view with our poor scheme….(not sure what the Americans have got to do with it) With ours a one off payment of £5 gives you discount forever. Crew charge £20 per season for a membership card but give £4 off a match ticket, discounted away travel, loyalty points / priority for big games and a discount at the club shop. Means they can charge away fans £4 more and not breach fair pricing rules. I was never keen when I was an away fan but there are ways to launch schemes that reward both the fan and the club. Think they call it dynamic pricing. www.crewealex.net/tickets/membership-faq/#:~:text=Adults%20£20%2C%20Seniors%20(60,priority%20on%20Cup%20%26%20Away%20tickets. Here’s another one www.swfc.co.uk/tickets/owls-membership/

actually do we even know if its gone or not ? Not as far as I'm aware (which is why I asked the question) so we may be jumping the gun here. All we know is that the CEO said he wasn't a fan of it and based on the website, you can't currently purchase one.

Correction: Next season casual fans will see it's £26 to do the same thing and might well decide to save £26.
I'm like that with Shrewsbury car parking charges - I go somewhere else that's free, there's nothing special about shopping in Shrewsbury these days apart from the market hall and Tanners wine..

Surely if they’ve decided to do away with the fan card and disabled the web page then it’s only common courtesy to announce this on Shrewsweb?
Even if they are thinking of replacing it with something else in the long term something should be announced where everyone can see it.
Another communication foul up.

Isn't this one of the weeks of the year where they actually get chance to take a break from football and have a holiday ?

What all of them?
No im sorry but the minutes something like this is altered then it should be announced.
Even if it’s just something along the line of fancards are finished but we will be announcing something else soon. Or even fan cards are finished full stop.
They have no idea when their customers will be looking for information. It’s called being professional.
