Not sure if I e miss4d anything but have the players released got fixed up yet? We know about Udoh, Dunkley. What about the likes of Marosi, Bowman, Flanagan, OBrien, etc? Just had a look through the BBC Football Transfers page and none of those named have got a club yet Half expect one of them to do a Bennett and resign for 12 months. My money would be on Bowman as we look very weak upfront

Good for him. He deserves it. Just wish he’d stayed here. He always came across as a fairly intelligent guy, but CEO of a league 1 club thats hardly been stable over last few years is pretty bold. What would town fans be saying if instead of Liam Dooley, Elliott Bennett had been appointed? Depends. For all we know he has been doing a business studies course or degree ready for his retirement. He seemed sensible enough to do that.

Harry Burgoyne signed for Morecambe yesterday along with 10 (TEN) outfield players.

And I reckon the role will probably be closer to Mickey Moore rather than Dooley which is much more commercial.

Would have thought he would have wanted better than League one (especially financially). He's under contract at Rangers and think he will be on a good deal.

Ebou Adams back at Derby on 3 year deal after really impressing on loan with them during second half of the season. I knew Derby fans badly wanted him signed. Surprised at the fairly large fee that's been reported considering he barely played for Cardiff over the 2 years he was there

Now this is a proper "realities of L1" post. Brum offering £5 million for Goldson ...you could buy half of most L1 teams for that

Jon Taylor, recently released by Doncaster has signed a 12 month contract with Salford Good luck to him. I think I presumed his league career was over, as he has barely played in the last 3 years. Let's hope a new club and new start can provide an opportunity for more game time and some better fitness

Glad you stopped short of hoping for success for Salford, not a club I'd want to see succeed ever.

Would have expected him to get a little higher than Colchester tbh. Struggled the last few seasons so maybe they will improve if they get a few players of his calibre.
Guess he wont be on anything like what he was on with us.

Be interesting to see how Bowman does. Seemed like he’d just completely lost it last season.

To be fair to bowman most of towns players were not pulling up any trees last season, and whilst he was not a prolific goal scorer ,I did not think he was that bad the previous seasons.

Love the dark humour ,typical of lower league fans, being shown on the Cheltenham forum Someone pointing out that we signed Lloyd from them and he only scored two goals in the league last season and they were both against us. Therefore it was only right and proper that they signed Bowman ,who only scored one league goal for us last season....and that was against Cheltenham
