He's going to keep them up isn't he I hope so, not because of any liking of FGR but because it would enhance the reputation of a proven lower league manager, the like of whom we could do with right now

Got to admit I thought the Cowleys were half decent, but Cotts certainly got them quaking now and wouldn't be suprised if he can get them out of it.
Massive late goal for Sutton against Grimsby aswell.

He's certainly turned them around.
Looks like its Colchester that are getting dragged down into the fight.

I know your reasons for wanting Forest Green to go down are well documented, but Colchester are one of the most uninspiring clubs in the whole football league. Been treading water in the lower reaches of L2 for a number of years, get 3000 crowds in a stadium similar to ours, horrible soulless ground on the edge of a motorway, they really offer nothing to the football league at the moment and wouldn’t be missed.

I'd say FG offer nothing to the FL and wouldnt be missed. For ne at least, along with the likes of Sutton United too.

It’s very easy to forget that Steve is and probably will always be our most successful ever manager in their first 10 games
He worked a miracle here keeping us up, half of it from his hospital bed. I won’t ever forget that
It looks like he’s doing a sterling job at FGR now. If he keeps them up, it would be one of the best achievements to date and cement himself as a football league legend

Always had a bit of a dislike for the Cowleys, and would take some satisfaction in them relegating a team out of the football league after deciding we were beneath them a couple of years ago. Cheerio!

Here we go again - the arrogance of fans who consider we are higher up in the pecking order. No better than the likes of the ‘big’ club fans who dismiss us as inately inferior. 3000 people in Colchester would definitely miss being in the FL. If they (or FGR) go down on merit, then so be it, but not because certain of our fans have decided they have less value as football clubs.

No point anyone having an opinion on anything then by that logic. May as well close the messageboard down now 🙄

What’s wrong with that? If you were offended by the reference to arrogance, then I’m sorry. I just don’t happen to agree with your criteria for deciding who is worthy of a place in the FL. I’m sure we can agree on why we would like certain arch rivals to be relegated though! 😉

Were SC not in charge I’d have no interest or preference either way in the league two relegation battle, but as he is there I’d love to see him pull it off.

Phil Brown is doing the same kind of thing at Kidderminster, he may keep them up. Kidderminster were in a worse position than FGR when he was appointed. Yes I know different league but I feel its relative

They were in League 1 last season, they should be pushing for promotion back there and not lingering in the relegation spots. Shouldn't take a genius to keep such a side up. I think I could manage it myself.

Cotterill knows exactly what's he doing. And in appointing him, Vince knew that he was the only manager capable of pulling off a great escape. Some tough games to come though.

Nailsworth. Population 5,662. Sleepy little place in the Cotswolds and hotbed of footballing passion and excellence for decades.
It's another Rushden & Diamonds waiting to happen as soon as the owner gets tired of his hobby. I notice he has already grown tired of the Just Stop Oil nutters he previously sponsored.

Seems to bother one person enormously, meanwhile the rest of us are just wishing a former manager well.
