Same starting eleven as last Saturday.
O'Brien on the bench.

I bet MT would have given his right arm for a bench like that

Nohan Kenneh, Tunmise Sobowale, Max Mata and Joe Anderson are not in the Town matchday squad.
Taylor would love to have had that selection dilemma!

Suspect that’s more or less the last we’ll see of Mata

Same XI as expected reslly.
Sobowale, Kenneh and Mata all drop from the squad. And no Anderson either, which means Hinchy is the only loan player in the entire squad.
Don't know if this is as common across all teams, but I note no loan starters for Cambridge either.

Suspect that’s more or less the last we’ll see of Mata He's got a 3 year contract so I doubt it. I also think there is a decent player in there somewhere.

What is the point in Anderson still being here? signing him to be a squad player makes little sense. Should have sent him back and saved the wages.

Suspect that’s more or less the last we’ll see of Mata Surely would have been loaned out if Deemed completely surplus to requirements? Think he and Bowman are too similar and O'Brien capable of playing right or left which I think is why he is on the bench. When injuries and suspensions come I'm sure if he will at least retain a spot back on the bench, and being a forward is much more likely to come off it too. When you suddenly have a full squad of available players it makes you realise the massive benefits of reserve football though

I bet MT would have given his right arm for a bench like that Taylor would be starting with Kenneh , dropped last week not in the squad today , enough said

He is inconsistent but lets not make him a scapegoat for how poor we have been throughout the season.

I'm sure PH knows what he needs to do to ensure we are safe. I'm also fairly sure he would see the 3 of our own youngsters (obviously not including Anderson here) are young and could be improved with work on them and be players for the future.

Against the run of play but a great team goal. Great vision by Winchester, calmness by Shipley and a tidy finish by Udoh! Salop!

Decent half of football from both teams.
Cambridge are very organised at the back and are winning everything in the end but we have caused problems down the wing we just need one to fall our way.

Decent enough game. Players mostly looks revitalised - Bayliss and Winchester especially.
There is a clear right sided weakness to this team still. Feeney isn't a natural right back and it's the first time I've seen Bloxham live since he's back and I remain unconvinced. Gave the ball away weakly in a dangerous position that led to their goal, and positionally just seems to struggle to get into the game. Plenty of crosses from left hand side and where is he attacking the back post?
