typical B&A knee jerk poll

he wants Paul Hurts back, and is suggesting its the next steps that has to be done tomorrow
pathetic as usual

100% some managers and clubs click and let’s be honest it’s pretty dire atm. I’d give him deal to keep us up, if he does give him another 2 years to rebuild. This is unsustainable atm

Isn't it just as likely Taylor can keep us up??

Not sure there is a quick fix....
Roland created the menu in the Summer and hired the chefs for the season

In all seriousness, I don't think I have faith anymore in Roland's judgement to make the right call on who he would get in replacing Taylor, I think he needs to put some pressure on Moore to get some January signings to make a positive difference.

I have always been vehemently against return for Hurst, for the way he left, his record since leaving us, and the fact I don’t think lightning strikes twice
However, I have now voted yes to say I’d take him back
We’re at our lowest ebb since Ricketts left us in 23rd and staring down the barrel over 3 years ago. Hurst did a job picking up Mellon’s mess of a squad which imo was far worse than our current squad is
Ultimately, the future of the club is more important than grudges against Hurst. Things cannot get any worse than this. What have we got to lose by having a go with him?
If we do nothing, I think we go down, and that is very dangerous for a club who’s fan base are already totally disenfranchised and disengaged thanks to a rudderless Chairman we never hear from, a clueless DOF who is out of his depth, and a Head Coach with a dire record at a bitter rival of ours using us as work experience

There's been rumour flying around. But the truth is we haven't got the money to get rid of Moore or Taylor.
But apparently the Chairman has spoken to Hurst.

There is a reason why people on this board, the media and the fans constantly want to rotate the Hurst and (the emerging) Cotterill come back line.
Because there teams were actually good and delivered top half finishes in the League. Stevenage are a team freshly promoted and yet have gone straight past Town this season.
With Hurst you got great results, good pressing football, great defence, limited goals scored - A media trained non passionate press interviews, which could be a little dull, Non League Players no one had heard of becoming crowd favourites, Going toe to toe with the 'Big Boys' in the League. Converting Sadler to Centre Half
With Cotterill, you got a great tactician, with a painfully tidy squad yet (likely) high wages, marquee signing (for league one), dull but generally effective football, a core squad a bond with the fans and cringe worthy interviews at times. Turning Dan Udoh into a proven goal scorer and getting the best out of Pyke.
Yes they had their flaws but wow it was more fun turning up knowing there was a game plan and it would be fun having a go.
Both were miles ahead of anything Taylor is currently delivering or that Askey or Ricketts did. I'd say Hurst and Cotterill were even better than Mellon and the Legendary GT (given that there promotions were in L2).

It’s obvious why people think Hurst is the answer - he’s out of work, and one of very few managers who’s proven he can do a job for us in this league.
Personally for me I’m convinced there’s many better options for us out there than him, just don’t ask me to name them, but also I’m 100% confident that him and Doig would be doing a much better job than Taylor and Bignot currently are.
If Wycherley brings him back though then it makes a mockery of the new director of football hierarchy as it would surely prove Wycherley has no confidence in Moore to find a replacement himself, in which case what is the point of the man?

I'd rather give MT a massive pay rise and a 20 year contract than have that snake back at the club.
