Just as a tidy up I've moved all Wrexham related posts onto the one thread, feel free to continue to post ...

Incidentally, our crowds help up well under fan ownership. Certainly averaging more than 2,900. We had close to that many season ticket holders. Your average attendance for the 2013/14 season was 2,993 as per Transfermarkt figures. Who owned the club that season? You’re being selective. In the seasons immediately prior to the takeover our average att was 4,508 (2017-18) and 4,798 (2018-19)

Would be a fantastic success story if you’d have gone about it the same Way Lincoln, Burton, Luton etc did. Nothing impressive about it whatsoever We haven’t got sugar daddies. We’ve got two astute owners generating money for the club. We’re not a Salford, FGR, etc. We have had far bigger crowds than we do at present too. The fanbase has always been there, just either didn’t want to put cash in a crook’s pocket or not watch the turgid football on offer. Incidentally, our crowds help up well under fan ownership. Certainly averaging more than 2,900. We had close to that many season ticket holders. You have two owners who are astute at making money for themselves, that much is true. Whether they make money for your Club or continue to laden it with debt is to be seen?

Does it matter.....we move on.....wxm getting good crowds, but I'm sure the ones that followed wxm through thick and thin(and I know a good few),cannot now get a ticket, because of the bandwagonerrs....which is shocking🤷🤷

Hopefully if he we ever get star-studded owners....our crowds will shoot up.....and we'll have to fill the corners of the ground in......here's hoping

Is this thread still going on?
At the end of the day we lost, we have to take our medicine and allow them to milk it (and by god they’re milking it), but to be honest it’s already back to focusing on the league and a friendly reminder that we continue to compete at a higher level.
I wish Wrexham the very worst of luck in their league two and FA Cup campaigns for the rest of the season.

The derby celebrations are gently winding down 🥃 We’ve turned up at Shrowsbury and played how I feared but won Said it many times ‘Don’t know which Wrexham’s Turning up’ All the stats blah blah blah, we got away with it.
It’s a fantastic feeling. And there’s a good chance we’ll be visiting and collecting league points from you next season.
People saying 7000 for Blackburn. We need more

I must say their chant of 'and were taking over your town again'. wow that hurt, bragging rights to them, but lets take it on the chin personally I thought that chant was cringworthy considering they haven't been good enough to play us for 16 years, let alone win at our ground.

You certainly have two owners who are alleged very good at making people believe things that aren't real in their day jobs. Time will tell if they are good owners or just in it for an ego trip and to make money for themselves

There was only one chant which silenced the away end, and it was quite funny to be honest.

We played quite well with a lot of effort and toothless up front.
They played really quite poorly and were well off the pace.
They scored a spawny goal and celebrated like what they are, a non league side for a generation suddenly finding themselves in the big time.
I watch the documentary and I enjoy it and I don't have animosity towards Wrexham, my great Uncle is in their hall of fame. But goodness me I was astonished at how quiet their fans were.
For all the stuff in the documentary about their amazing following I thought our crowd was absolutely bob on and some of the loudest we have ever had at the new stadium. If we had scored we would have won and if Benning's goes in then it is a complete worldie and the walls would have shaken.
We have nothing to be ashamed of from that performance, however frustrating it was.
I would not swap our last twenty years for theirs.

I was staggered by how quiet their fans were for the majority of the game - I genuinely thought they'd be great and we'd really have to up our game to out-sing them, but even though I didn't think ours was anything special from the West or the South we were comfortably louder than them until the goal. Whether that was their below-par performance up to that point or not I'm unsure, but it did surprise me. Could be that these 1800 loyal fans who have definitely, always, no honestly, always supported them were channeled by the spirit of the 700 or so who bothered showing up last time we played them.
They were very good after the goal in fairness, although I'd query any team's fans that aren't brilliant after a late winner away at your superior local rivals.

Keep on putting us down and bigging up yourselves. It’s hilarious to read. I reckon by the time you play Stevenage you’ll have convinced yourselves you won 2-1 and will start planning a trip to Blackburn.
0-1 (O’Connor 72)

That reminds me. Our last Cup visit to zBlackburn (League Cup) we won 2-1 with goals from James Collins and Tyrone Barnett. The Shrewsbury lads I work with absolutely despise Blackburn. They honestly don’t know who to support. Something about a top of the table clash and defeat derailed your season. Their fans weren’t particularly charming either apparently.

Saying that, loads of other clubs’ fans are on Red Passion. I reckon it adds a bit of variety, as long as it’s all respectful.

As much as I'd have liked us to have won (of course), Blackburn away would have been a hugely underwhelming fourth round draw.
