The appeal against the 10 point deduction is in.
This could be interesting but it needs to be processed quickly to be fair to all parties.

I think the bottom line is Everton have broken rules and need to be punished The problem is we have others that broke rules and got away with it , this needs to change do I hope they stand strong here and stick with the ruling
However I predict it will get reduced to 6

Was it the commission or the Premier League that then imposed the 10 point sanction? I don't know. I wouldn't be surprised to see it reduced, and I think it does seem disproportionate. But I've never seen how the appropriateness of a 10 point penalty was measured in the first place. Perhaps because it's easily halved to 5? Who's got away with breaking the rules? City and Chelsea are still being investigated.

It's likely Everton's penalty will be reduced, but would that happen before there is any resolution of the Man City/Chelsea cases? All the Premier League will be concerned about is not undermining their own authority.

I've never understood why they don't have a set tariff of points deductions EG Go into administration 20 points deduction Overspend the agreed debt level 10 points deduction etc etc
Can't remember, and I haven't checked but what did Leeds and Luton do wrong all those years ago? Seem to recall that the points deduction was enough to relegate both of them, did they appeal?

Seem to recall that the points deduction was enough to relegate both of them, did they appeal? Yep, Leeds got I think a 10 point deduction for entering administration. When in League 1 they were handed a further 15 point penalty for not dealing correctly with the administration process - something like that. Not so long ago Bury were handed a 10 point penalty don’t forget. Can someone remind me why Sheffield United were jumping up and down over something not too long ago. Was it a ghost goal or other teams breaking regulations and getting away with it. Teams in the Premiership would spend a fair wad in fees to “ accountants “ if they can creatively circumvent the rules .

What are they appealing? They've openly admitted they went over.

What are they appealing? They've openly admitted they went over. One reason I think is the PL changed their discipline penalty process midway through the Independent investigation that led to Everton 10 point deduction. I think there is an argument that the penalty points deduction of 10 points is therefore unfair as it is based on that change.

Wasnt it that season that they got relegated to the Conference?

Well Man U players will be exhausted. They had to travel by coach instead of flying to Newcastle according to the BBC. No wonder Newcastle are all over them poor things.

United are woeful, Newcastle will be rightly disappointed they didn't stick a few more in.
Home v United is one of everyones favourites at the minute, they're abysmal.
Anthony Gordon, 6 goals & 3 assists, can see him being a late call up for Euro 2024!

I was looking on the BBC Sports live stream yesterday. For a moment I thought I had made an error and was looking at Blue and Amber by mistake. I saw comments like Two poor teams, management out ,both teams relegation certainties etc etc etc. So I have come to the conclusion that fellas WE are not alone in having suspect fans🙂🙂COYB
