If he can get back to his best we would be very solid at the back with him along side Dunkley.

Presume not much faith in Sraha. Even with Feeney out, with Sraha they have 4 centre backs, and players able to full back to make a back 4.
Seems an odd one as he's barely played in last few years and fitness was previously a bit of an issue.

Should fit in well if his current fitness is anything like it was in his final season with us.
Wimbledon wanting a player who could last 90 minutes could really come back to bite them.

Never seen a CB as bad in the air as him.

At first I was very worried when I heard he had signed, but MT has played with him, and sounds like he’s had a short trial to earn the deal. He seems to have struggled in LG2 since leaving town for minutes but if we can get Pierre fit & confident he looked brilliant 2 years ago. I remember when he was the pick of us solid defence and was being linked with Swansea, Birmingham & Blackburn before it all fell apart when he started plying Fri Granada

Looked good first 2 games but it clear he’s light weight, awful in the air, and his passing (which was his main attribute) seemed to get progressively worse by the appearance

If he can get back to his best we would be very solid at the back with him along side Dunkley. "If" is doing some heavy lifting here, given he's barely played since he left us. Think I'd rather give Sraha a chance and see what he's like, I'm not sure there's much point signing these up and coming punts if we're not going to play them and see what they're like when the situation dictates we need to, especially as Feeney's absence isn't for a ridiculously long time. I guess if you're looking at it on a positive side he's probably cheap and it's low risk as we can let him go if he's not up to it still. A fun and useful player in his time with us, mad that we turned down a bid from a Championship team for him not that long ago. Hope it works out.

Big Aaron is back, well maybe a short term solution I hope. Still if he can get his 100 appearance. I'm unsure it will be the second coming like it was with Mat Sadler.

Yes it does seem a bit odd that we need to make a temporary signing of a player who has hardly played for 2 years when we have a young player like Sraha in the squad. Might be able to judge more with him starting today

I’m ok with this to be honest, decent player at his best with us and hopefully has a point to prove still. Short term contract so if it doesn’t work out then nothing lost. Decent bit of business and a 90th minute striker to boot! Fancy a quid on him last goalscorer today 😉

I was surpised at this as most people are however on reflection makes perfect sense. With Feeney out another injury to any of our centre backs could be an issue. The transfer window is shut so our options are limited. Piere was decent before fitness became an issue under cotteril but he knows the club and is available. I dont see him being more than a bench warmer to be honest but having said that it would be nice to see hime get his 100th appearence

Shocking defending for that goal, credit the lad but no one put a a foot in.
Can’t blame Taylor for that.

I do worry about his fitness, but better to have some cover rather than none.
Even with injuries and international call ups, we had a better bench today than most of last season.

There’s something very comical about this. If you don’t laugh you’ll cry. Agree. On so many levels. His problem was fitness - arguably I feel this isn’t our strongest point this season but we’ve signed someone who has barely played for 2-3 seasons! I thought part of our new ethos was developing young players yet we’ve signed an ex player who hasn’t exactly torn up trees since he left at a lower level. Who within the club has suggested recommended this signing especially given the club are meant to be going in a new direction? I’m not adverse to signing ex players nor Pierre especially but given the new ownership it’s strange to say the least. I hope he does well - it’s probably his last chance to resurrect his career but unconvinced he should be doing it here and right at this moment in time!
