And look at the very first reply, a dissolusioned fan from back in 2016. We’ve lost and continue to lose so many fans until there is change at the top sorry when did you last visit the training ground ? I was shown pictures of it yesterday taken earlier this week - it’s not good at all

So where do we go from here? Roland won't be going until he wants to. But there's a host of managers now of this that and the other who need to liaise with the fans and rectify problems. My suggestion is that they are emailed pictures of any evidence of decay. If that doesn't provide satisfaction then those pictures hit the social media. These days social media gas more power than the press. One way or another there will be supporter liaison. I highly doubt they'll be a supporters liaison, the new board don't care one jot for the fans.

They will if it has to go all the way to social media posts of photo evidence and lack of action to rectify, and then the national newspapers are tipped off to the supporter dispair at what's deemed to be going wrong at "our" club.

sorry when did you last visit the training ground ? I was shown pictures of it yesterday taken earlier this week - it’s not good at all trouble is we've already used this seasons training ground budget last season, and thats from SC himself, apparently part of one pitch needed new drainage, it was only a few seasons ago all it had was a leaky portacabin with no facilities, about the same size of a shipping container, last time I was there it was all top spec , training pitches with video cameras thats about 3 years ago, the pitches were quality, I might pop down and have a nosey, if you are correct it needs highlighting

I don’t know why agenda is becoming a dirty word on here for those brave enough to speak out against the establishment, both at the club and on this board. Everybody had an agenda one way or another But as I said above, open your eyes, take a good look at the stadium rusting and the training ground rotting… you never know you might actually learn something if I was Roland first thing I'd do to protect the future of the ground is I'd install some urinals along the back of block 19 to save fans having to p**s where they stand 4 hours and not one objection, probably because its true, if anyone in the west stand doubts this, head that way on 90 minutes and smell and see the p**s for yourself, its disgusting

The 'facts' as you call them, obviously suit your agenda. I don’t know why agenda is becoming a dirty word on here for those brave enough to speak out against the establishment, both at the club and on this board. Everybody had an agenda one way or another But as I said above, open your eyes, take a good look at the stadium rusting and the training ground rotting… you never know you might actually learn something I noticed a weed next to one of the support girders on Saturday. I have some Weedol in my garden shed if you feel inclined to take some affirmative action.

I just hope our stadium doesn't have any RAAC duff concrete in it!

I'd assume that any issues/concerns over the running of the ground would be sent to Pete Brophy, however according to this interview, it is Jamie Edwards who should be engagng with - “Jamie Edwards has the role of primarily managing contracts and commercial activity, he also has the fan engagement lead.www.shrewsburytown.com/news/2023/june/pete-brophy--staff-feature/It was the beginning of May that the new structure was introduced so he's been in the role 5 months, I know it's been a hectic time for him but you would think that we might have heard from him by now. As far as I can see, we haven't even had a 'staff feature' like we did for Brophy?

Personally think this is why fans don’t seem to have bought into the new regime, we’re not a united club just when we needed to be. We had the SP which bought fans and the club together, replaced by nothing. This article points out the importance of us fans and was initially refreshing to read yet there’s been no dialog except poor Matty doing his best to console the fans.

But in response it's been pointed out that just because we may not have anyone else would be interested in taking over (I suspect we would), it doesn't mean we can't debate how Roland runs the club. No one believes this thread (or other threads) on this forum is going to result in the chairman deciding to walk away. Just like I don't believe us debating who Taylor is going to pick for tonight's game will make any difference to the side he puts out.

but the thread is not called, debate how Roland's runs the club, its called is it time for Roland to go ? Yes it is called that and that leads to a debate, people will debate whether Roland should go and that is based on how they believe he is running the club. Some think he's had his day, some think he's doing a good job. Despite his minions feeding back the comments to him, I am not expecting my comments (or anyone elses) to make a difference in the slightest to how he runs the club and when he will sell up. Because of that, some people may say the thread is pointless/irrelevant, that's fine but if that's the case I'd say then simply ignore it. I'd also point out that by that same argument a lot of threads would be pointless/irrelevant on football messageboard as it's ultimately football fans debating (arguing) over things they are speculating on and will have no influence over.

I think the club got it wrong in the summer and should have had a face to face fans forum with everyone from the new structure there (and a rare appearance from Roland). It should have been an open & honest conversation with fans explaining whats happened, what the current position is and what the future holds. And then since then lack of dialogue has been poor to say the least, the parliament was not perfect but at least there was a link/route in for fans.

No, you make various channels know you're inviting offers. In a case of a house, an estate agent, in the case of football, likely intermediaries and others. That said, I doubt he'll sell, he'll die in charge and leave his family to inherit tax free, were then in the hands of the unknown.

Totally agree, you have to take the people with you in all walks of life when (substantial) changes are made. Unsurprisingly Roland et all have failed with this so far

I've never had any dealings with him but I've heard lots of good things about him through his work in the foundation and the supporters parliament. As for your questions, no idea, as far as I can see we only have that one line from Pete Brophy that Jamie is supposed to be leading on fans engagement.

He’s said for ages the clubs available and would have probably been sold if it wasn’t for Covid affecting one potential buyers wealth and the clubs financial status. So I’ve heard from a reliable source

He took over responsibility for the commercial side last year (December) yet didn’t visit the shop or talk to the staff once. He’s responsible for fan engagement and hasn’t engage once. Seems a bit of a trend.

In your world if Roland was coming in now he wouldn't pass your test. I'd also argue that the combined resource of these three respected businesses with the right financing more than passes Pilch's arbitrary test of "show me the money". Edit : also for the "kind of chairman I want" I listed three well known businesses each with town supporters at their helm. I didn't bring anybody else into this debate to use a strawman. You did.
