A former premiership manager (who's names escapes me)used to call this rack and stack. Were they would sign young players for by there spending small amounts of money, then loan them out or play on there youth teams in the hope some would make the grade. I wish him all the best

This may have been mentioned on one of the posts but he has also played for Norway's under 17 team . I wish him all the very best.

It’s a shame Newcastle didn’t fancy loaning him back to us.

It’s a shame Newcastle didn’t fancy loaning him back to us. They might, I wonder if we bothered trying?

If he makes it and meets the add ons from the sale this will be far and away the biggest transfer fee the club has ever received.

It’s a shame Newcastle didn’t fancy loaning him back to us. I would assume they wouldn't think he is ready. He's barely played PL2. The players mentioned on January transfer window thread (Ola-Adabomi and Nathan Fraser) have been regulars in that league for 2 years or so.

Had he not moved to Newcastle I doubt he would have played that much for us. A few sub appearances maybe at best.

Whoever negotiated that signing deserves a lot of credit, one we got very, very right for once.
"On 7 August 2023, Hearnes signed his first professional deal with Shrewsbury Town, keeping him at the club until 2026 On 1 September 2023, Hernes signed for Premier League club Newcastle United for an undisclosed fee!" - Wiki..

If Travis gets a solid half season in PL2, what are the chances we get him back next season on loan?

More to come during his tenure?

I don’t think that would be the case, that was SC’s fault and senior loan managers wouldn’t be stupid enough to base a decision on a former manager
