He strikes me as a total prick too but ‘the victim’ has showed him forgiveness so I assume his behaviour has changed. Should he be punished forever or given a chance? You assume, maybe he's doubled down, coerced her more and now has her pregnant and trapped? It might not be right, but it's the possible flip side. Or maybe he’s seen the error of his ways and repented and found forgiveness, fact is we don’t know…..Im hoping he’s been rehabilitated whilst rotting on the sidelines but I’m not assuming anything. It’s easier to just continue with anger but is it right when we don’t know the facts?

Until he comes out and says/acts different, or his partner, the prison service etc say different, then I'm just going on the facts, the video evidence.

Depends if he still thinks the way he's treated the poor woman is acceptable, or if he's made attempts to educate himself and sort his misogynistic attitudes out. He strikes me as a total prick who's up his own arse who has no respect for women, I doubt I'm too far off the mark. He strikes me as a total prick too but ‘the victim’ has showed him forgiveness so I assume his behaviour has changed. Should he be punished forever or given a chance? What a classless post, although coming from the man who defended Joey Barton around the time of his charges I can't say I'm surprised. "The victim" (sic) as you pretty callously and inappropriately describe her may also have "showed him forgiveness" not because his "behaviour has changed" but because he is "incredibly rich" and she feels trapped by the circumstances of that and many other factors. It's easy to use "quote marks" to change the wording of a post. Thousands of victims of domestic abuse don't leave their abusers or press charges, it doesn't mean the abuser is innocent of the victim is forgiving of them. Do a bit of reading, it may surprise you: www.nationaldahelpline.org.uk/www.womensaid.org.uk/www.gov.uk/guidance/domestic-abuse-how-to-get-helpAlso, no-one's remotely suggesting he should be "punished forever". Instead, they're questioning whether an appropriate reward for his behaviour would be walking back into the squad of one of the most famous and richest football clubs in the world.

I get the feeling some are not only annoyed that a defendant should be dragged into court to listen to proceedings as we had yesterday with that awful killer, but some would also like potential witnesses dragged in to testify too, whether they want to or not, strange but true

[] No idea what you are talking about.I would suggest that you read the whole thread and then come back to me about anything that you don't understand and I will explain it to you🙄 Christ it’s easy enough you said you’d doubt Moyes would employ him as he’s a Christian. I pointed out Christians show forgiveness not continuing hatred like some on here 👍 Just seen your reply to me,above, and have also read the newer posts on this thread.Nothing more to add other than I agree with what others are saying

Apparently the club wanted him back but had a change of mind following protests from fan groups and season ticket holders.
Puts football fans in a good light for once.

As far as the Manchester United hierarchy are concerned, it looks as though the entire situation boiled down to one question: what will cost us more money - loss of commercial revenue as a result of reputational damage arising through Greenwood’s return, or cancelling the contract of a valuable playing asset?
The statement that they put out initially suggesting that he may return was clearly to test the waters and see just how outraged people were.
Money talks in the Premier League. It’s the be all and end all.

I suppose, just like in the movies...you should be squeeky clean or reputations are tarnished. Innocent or not, Kevin Spacey springs to mind.
Man Utd having a global reputation...and no one is bigger than the club. Bye bye player, regardless of innocence. Player reputation tarnished, and the club would be too if they didn't get rid.
Remember the club also have a ladies team...and a Womens Supporters Club...couple that with recent movements like 'Me Too' movement...bonkers to even contemplate keeping him. Amazed the club didn't get rid ages ago.
I was also amazed Wales didn't get rid of Giggs too. I hope they weren't paying him a wage all that time he was in court!
