Seeing is believing, I hope we are not jumping the gun on this one.

That’s a great start to the window, rate him very highly, if the rest of the transfer window continues in this vain I’m naming my first born Roland!!! I’m sure she will be delighted about that.😜

Would be an intriguing one positionally. A left midfielder that does play inside, does he come in as a wing back or a central midfielder? If centrally which I assume, he's quite left footed so natural position would be Leahys left sided central midfielder. Or possibly ahead of Leahy and Vela? But I'm not convinced SC would go for that

And I have my doubts he would play Vela and Leahy as a 2 with someone ahead of them. This is of course assuming he is sticking with 352 next season

Another reason why we should want Sheffield Wednesday to go up if we needed one.

At least we have players now that are good enough to be of interest to other clubs at our level and higher. Just have to keep them now, or find others to develop as replacements.

I hope we keep both Udoh & Marosi but I can see one of them being sold to generate a larger budget. As a small club it’s the strategy that keeps our finances good

Apologies if someone has already mentioned this, but weren’t we linked with him last season too?

Quite right, makes a change from paying off an inflated squad of 27. It's disappointing to loose players but if there's plenty of interest it validates the scouting team and managers eye for a player.

Ran the show against us a few years back when Coventry were down here before Christmas one year (2019?) Be a great signing if we can pull it off.

If we do pull off the Shipley move it would be a promising start to the transfer window. Let's just hope that we have a pre-season this time around.

www.shropshirestar.com/sport/football/shrewsbury-town-fc/2022/05/07/shrewsbury-closing-in-deal-for-coventry-midfielder-jordan-s"City boss Mark Robins confirmed afterwards that the club had accepted a bid for the left-footed midfielder, who is out of contract this summer and who has made 14 appearances this season, scoring once. Robins also added that an option on Shipley's contract, to extend for a year and ensure a fee for his services, had been taken up and it is understood Town move for Shipley is close to being completed. Cotterill is looking to beef his midfield this summer and attack-minded Shipley is one his targets. The move, which could be formally completed soon, would signal an early statement of intent from Shrewsbury. Last summer's first signing, Luke Leahy, was revealed on May 17 – albeit the season finished later." “That’s the thing that’s been going on over the last few days and I have spoken to him and he’d like to go at this moment in time because he’d like to play and I can’t promise him that, so he may end up departing.” Shipley, popular among the Sky Blues fans, said an emotional farewell to supporters in Stoke this afternoon. He played the first 69 minutes in the Potteries, before being withdrawn to a rapturous reception.

Why is this being reported before signed and sealed? Worried that it’s alerting other clubs to outbid us.

Yes indeed. As I’ve said before the last time Coventrydid this, the bloke went off to Portugal. Unless they are trying to raise the price of course.

Good signing if it comes off. New centre back next please. Then a LWB and we've nearly got a decent XI. Add to that another CB, RWB cover, a new ST and a decent couple of loans and we're not far off. Makes a change from the huge squad overhauls, likely saving us plenty of ££.

Yep, couple of more decent signings, then can't see the likes of udoh leaving, because he'll probably think 'I'm on to something here', and that's probably why Vela hasn't gone 👍👍

Jorge Grant transfer listed at Peterborough, now that would be a great signing.
