Following on from the former players returning and the Millwall link to Udoh how about Tom Bradshaw returning as part of a swap deal. Think he has had injury problems but still only 29 and had a reasonable scoring record in the Championship Bradshaw has only recently signed a new contract at Millwall.

In terms of midfield options, Callum Camps has been released by Fleetwood and Matt Butcher is leaving Accrington, worth looking at?

He’s not played for us before either so that rules him out 🤪

Think he has had injury problems but still only 29 and had a reasonable scoring record in the Championship Bradshaw is not a Cotterill type of player. He comes alive in the final third but is not noted for workrate in deeper positions or helping out defending corners - things that both Udoh and Bowman do lots of.

Be doubtful Shrewsbury bound. See toto nsiala has signed a new 2 year deal. Pleased for him after quite a mixed time with Ipswich

Unsure on Camps, not had his best season and maybe agreement it's not quite worked out at Fleetwood. Was their top scorer last season from midfield.

Let's go big and bring Docherty back from Hull and Carlton Morris from Barnsley 👍 and there we have it , the " we have to bring back previous players society" , has opened for business early this summer how about Joe Hart in goal ? what's Obenaberhie doing these days ? lets go for nsiala and Nolan maybe we could get woods back too Dave Pountney ? Don’t be mentioning Nolan and Nsiala on social media, you’ll get the Hurst helmets all excited 😂 Never understand the clamour over former players this time of year. Hardly as if the golden ticket lies with some loanee who came here a couple of years ago with a point to prove and did well.

There's not many players I'd take back, they went for a reason and are either playing below us, or well out of our reach, there's generally not much in-between.
I'm sure 1001 names will come up and we'll end up signing Nurse, Leahy, Marosi types that nobody is expecting. Contracts run until June 30th so most players have 7 weeks pay yet before the fun starts.

Everyone’s desperate for their own cult hero and maybe that’s part of the clamour for familiar names. It’s certainly why pound-shop Gazza types like Jason Cummings get so much adulation, and would help explain the near state of mourning about Shaun Whalley’s departure amongst some people. Certainly in Shaun’s case it’s sad to see him go but it’s football.

And bare in mind also that League one has finished a week ahead of the championship and league two, 2 weeks ahead of the national league and about a month ahead of the premiership. And that doesn't count for clubs in the play offs. So plenty of players won't know what is happening for them next season yet.

Good news if true. However,I will wait and see. Didn’t the last bloke they said was coming disappear overnight to Portugal?

IF this happens then its great to see for two reasons, firstly is the calibre of players we are bringing in and secondly doing it early. Hopefully learning lessons from last season

Wouldn’t be at all surprised if we signed Lynden Gooch from Sunderland.

Never judge a player until He’s played , either way , I’ll only Ever bring up the wrong predictions 😜
It is good that we are not opting for the “no rush system this time 👍
