Agreed. I have just started reading 'There is no Climate Crisis' by David Craig. I'll comment more fully on the subject of Global Warming when I've read it in full. At this point, suffice it to say that in the 1960s and 1970s numerous scientists were warning about Global Cooling. The reverse is now the case. Heard on the radio today: Some Greens have not changed their stance that we need to use a lot less energy. What they should be saying is we need to drastically reduce pollution created when we use energy.
Electric cars have a problem because they need Lithium mined. Mazda believe they can carry on making the petrol engine more efficient - their Skyactiv technology seems to offer more than just a marketing slogan. Either way, let's get the pollution right down.
I am far from understanding the technology or engineering with batteries, so I must ask what happens to the millions of them once they have expired?

www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10056407/Now-eco-mob-block-Blackwall-Tunnel-Insulate-Britain-launch-ELEVENTH-day-protests.htmlInsulate Britain protesters have shut down all four corners of London by blocking the Blackwall Tunnel, Hanger Lane, Wandsworth Bridge and Arnos Grove today while police appear to be just standing idly by - only 24 hours after the Prime Minister threatened them with six-month jail terms and unlimited fines. Fifty demonstrators from XR splinter group Insulate Britain clashed with motorists as they blocked major roads during rush hour, causing huge tailbacks close to the centre of the capital on what is the group's eleventh day of protests in recent weeks.

The police do have a blueprint to work from - the way they dealt with the pickets at Orgreave in the 1980s.
To this day there's never been an Inquiry into that.

I have this sneaking suspicion that the focus of these people will shift to the north-west next week, and they will attempt to disrupt the Conservative conference, and prevent Representatives from attending.....just a suspicion, mind. Would make sense. And it would be then interesting to see if the police were to take a different approach to the one taken when its only the proles and plebs who are inconvenienced.

I rather feel that I wouldn't try to reason with them either, but at the back of my mind, I would sense some discomfort at resorting to more forceful methods: these people are playing with, and preying upon, the natural cordiality which we feel towards each other.

There's a video doing the rounds of lads pulling them out they way so an ambulance can get through.
Good on them. I'd buy them all a pint.

The sooner someone drives over them the better, at least it will move the situation on. At the moment they are holding everyone to ransom with there feck stupid actions, no doubt they are loving it. w****rs.

surley the police have the power to arrest them so why dont they straight away and what is the point of courts taking out injunctions if they are not enforced.

They need teams going round lobbing them out the road as soon as they get on the scene, the police aren't interested.

You can see the footage of people dragging them off the road here... FURIOUS DRIVERS DRAG INSULATE BRITAIN OFF ROADI'm taking the comments about the protestors coming to harm with a pinch of salt, I hope that is the case anyhow. But looking to this footage there doesn't look to be any police around, you have protestors and members of the public on the road, you have members of the public dragging protestors off the road who then move back on, you have motorbikes and then cars pushing through. This isn't good and you do fear someone is going to get hurt (and perhaps seriously too) if things continue as they are. I think the vast majority of people understand the right to protest but you should do so responsibly. This is not protesting responsibly.

To attract fuel tanker drivers/HGV drivers in general I expect higher wages are being paid, that leads to inflation unless productivity improves - but I should think hauliers have already covered all the angles. What we need now is free-flowing transport links, unhindered by people who have a cause, but not the right means. It's all part of keeping our fragile supply chain at "just in time".

This pathetic deranged individual has all the hallmarks of Social Isolation, a recognised disfunction; whether self-induced or whether as a result of a clinical predilection to being an insufferable A******* of the highest order, is difficult to judge. And before any psychologists jump on me, you are dead right - I have no qualifications to make such an assertion: and you know what - like him, I don't care what others think. So there.

Sorry but with views like this it really is time to just keep the vehicles moving, be no loss to anyone if people like this are in the way.

I can't believe I just watched a video of an ambulance worker having to try dragging people off of the road so they could get about their business. Absolutely sickening scenes. What is wrong with some people?

They are self centred, brainless and attention seekers. Anything for 19 minutes of fame.
I am absolutely convinced that they don’t actually give a damn whether people’s houses are insulated or not. They just want to rebel at any cost whatever that cost may be.
Despicable people.

The cause they are ‘campaigning’ for is a reasonable one, but I think they have lost the good will of just about everyone now through their selfish actions, I also thought the same of XR when they thought it was a good idea to block roads or stop trains in the morning rush hour, eventually people will have had enough and fight back against these idiots.
The spokesman from ‘Insulate Britain’ is a complete arse too, made himself look a right prat on GMB, even Richard Madeley made him look foolish.

Left the door wide open for Priti to walk all over protesting. This Hallem guy and the militants are doing their, and everone else's causes, no good at all. Is he on some sort of ego trip?

Protests by permission of the government are not protests. Breaking the law, even if it's something you feel passionate about is still breaking the law.
