What? He didn't resign like the Chester MP? Do wayward Tory MPs not have any morals? Must make life very difficult for the decent honest Tories - bound to be some.

i remember a certain MP telling boris that he should resign for the simple reason he is being investigated by police for breaking covid rules, the same mp when being investigated himself moved the goalposts and got his big legal books out to find loopholes of how to describe how a blatant 10pm party could be deemed to be classed as a working lunch 😜

Has Claudia Webbe not resigned yet? What about Rupa Huq? Must make life very difficult for the decent honest Labourites - bound to be some. Fair point. Webbe remains in post because of her suspended sentence being replaced by a community sentence on appeal. Had the original sentence been confirmed, she would have been subject to a recall petition. Huq has been suspended, but is not subject to a recall petition. But what about these guys? An unnamed Tory M.P. (not even suspended, though ex Tory M.P. Charlie Elphicke was both named and suspended for similar issues) and David Warburton: www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2022/may/18/accused-tory-mp-alleged-offences-include-one-relating-person-under-18www.itv.com/news/westcountry/2022-04-03/tory-mp-in-psychiatric-hospital-for-shock-and-stress-amid-misconduct-claims

www.somersetcountygazette.co.uk/news/21870748.david-warburton-mp-by-election-campaign-launched/Campaigners are calling for a by-election in Somerset to remove an “ineffective” MP. David Warburton has represented the Somerton and Frome constituency for the Conservative Party since 2015, having achieved the largest constituency swing in England at that year’s general election. Mr Warburton was suspended from the party in April following allegations of sexual harassment and cocaine use (which he strongly denies), and has been receiving treatment at a psychiatric hospital since July. The Times reported in April that Mr Warburton had asked the Financial Conduct Authority to “look more favourably” on Russian financier Roman Joukovski – who had allegedly provided Mr Warburton with an undeclared loan of around £150,000 for a holiday rental property.

you are missing ( more like ignoring the point ) the day Boris was being investigated by police Starmer demanded he resign, none of your innocent until found guilty stuff, just the fact he's is being investigated by police alone is enough for him to resign none of you accepted the "lets wait until the findings either" what was kiers motto ? its one rule for them , another rule for us you dont need to tell me what boris did, I know , I said it should have been sacked back then too, thats why I didn't vote for him them, and won't vote for next time its also why I won't be voting for the other self righteous hypocrite take your blinkers off, I have

If everyone sat on their hands and didn't vote because 'they are all as bad as one another', then they can't complain at whoever they get and the policies that are thrown in their direction.
Personally, I'll be voting for Helen Morgan (Lib Dem) in North Shropshire.

We're talking about resigning, not being subject of a recall petition.👍 Well, shouldn't the unnamed Tory M.P, and Warburton be resigning? Neither are exactly serving their constituents. One is banned from the Parliamentary estate and is defending serious criminal charges, and the other has been in a psychiatric hospital since July.

Someone who might be elected to the highest office in the land would surely have had the same calls to consider their position if they had been PM. The public can decide about that one - The public had already decided, and placed their trust in, the guy who was in charge at the time - The guy who had actually told us all how to behave and then was accused of breaking his own laws

Webbe and Huq don't I fully agree. They should resign, together with Roberts, Warburton and the unnamed Tory M.P. At least the Labour M.P. for Chester, Chris Matheson, has had the decency to do so.

What's the point of this tit-for-tat comparing one parties bad apples to another? Get rid of all the bad apples - it's time for cleaner politics. Let the good MPs change the mind of those who think "They are all at". To get back up to date, that's why a number of Conservatives are saying it woukd be a disaster to have Boris back.
Things, like other jobs and sponsorship for MPs, need looking at too. Let's have "cleaner" politicians all round.

He tweets: 'Honesty and decency matter. After months of denials the Prime Minister is now under criminal investigations for breaking his own lockdown laws. He needs to do the decent thing and resign.'

If everyone sat on their hands and didn't vote because 'they are all as bad as one another', then they can't complain at whoever they get and the policies that are thrown in their direction. Perhaps. But even so, they can certainly point out hypocrisy and double standards when they see it.

Completely different meaning to your quote…. Here he’s simply pointing out that Boris and the Tories follow their own rules unlike the rest of the country. Not us meaning the Labour Party.
if you remember some of the previous rule breaks Boris condoned like Cummings trip to Barnard Castle claimed to be within the rules when ‘us’ everyone else didn’t see it that way.
