not what we wont to see and not the result we need but a wake up call from any complacency as we cant afford a repeat of that, across the board untill it was a case of to little to late.baffling why we did not change things a lot sooner. we have another three games against teams below us and a major improvment is required

Rochdale must really be looking forward to playing us as their next home game.
They've now gone 14 games since their last win there!

And we almost grabbed a totally undeserved equaliser as well. Would have been funny and bizarre had that happened, ah well two home games coming up now to quickly put this one to bed.

A truly astonishingly bad performance at the most unexpected of times.
Every single player was off it, but some more so then others. Terrible individual displays in there but I think worst player of the match can go to Ebanks-Landell because his sluggish lack of focus/effort just 30 seconds in set the tone for the likes of Whalley, Vela, Chapman & Pennington to have absolute shockers.
Cotterill’s lack of action from home doesn’t look too clever either. If ever a set of players needed a shake up it was at half time today, and if not then, 5 minutes in when clearly not improved. Strange. Not good.
Tuesday would be a massive win now, to prevent unnecessary panic from the fanbase..

In my opinion I think we should change the entire set up after that result.

It would’ve been good to keep the good performances going but a bad one was bound to happen. We’re just seeing this season through, too much damage done by the previous manager to mount a play off charge. For me I can’t wait for next season with fans back (hopefully), Cotterrill in the dugout, new signings to improve the team there is no reason why we can’t finish in the play-offs.

Why didn't Elliott ask Wilbraham why the substitutions were left so late?

Why didn't Elliott ask Wilbraham why the substitutions were left so late? probably becasue he knows nothing about football

3 things this season would make me very happy stay up, see our manager back and talk about a game in the pub
i mean who cares about anything else ?

To be honest until Udoh got our consolation I was thinking that were lucky to get nil. They went to sleep for the first time in the match and we scored. How many times in the last 12 months has the same thing happened to us? Unfortunately they had a two goal buffer at the time.
This was probably definitely the worse performance I've seen under SC, but it had to happen sooner or later and hopefully it is something we can put behind us.
Onwards

Good to see it’s Pennington’s turn to get all the criticism online, I mean he’s only new to the club, first game back from a nasty injury and thrown in out of position. Oh to have the much derided Donald Love back!

Why we played Pennington at RB when we had a perfectly serviceable one on the bench in Sears I've no idea.
I suppose Sears was lucky to even be on the bench. He doesn't seem to be too highly rated.
Rodman was my MOM for them.

Oh to have the much derided Donald Love back! Not Pennington's fault that he's been played out of position. But why Sears wasn't selected is a mystery.

Think this was a certainty to happen today, especially after Last Tuesday, back down to earth and with coming up against Mr Barton who to be fair sets his team up fairly well.Just need to take a step back, draw breath and go again on Tuesday.

Agreed, the reaction to this loss has been a meltdown of indescribable proportions. We need to be a little bit more realistic in my view . I have written to RW and put my point over , no mucking about. What we need is Sam Ricketts back in charge . I am starting a petition entitled : Sam for Steve if you please . The spirit of relegation is hovering - we are doomed .

The performance in the 1st half was so bad that I was amazed that nothing was done at half time to change things.
Apart from Chapman and Whalley switching wings, I didn't notice any change in formation.

As Wilbraham said, it's not often we have had days this like this since he's arrived. The key will how we bounce back on Tuesday, it will be interesting to see if he decides to shake things up or give the players an opportunity to make amends.

"We are disappointed with the result but we don't feel let down by the lads". Wilbraham.

"We are disappointed with the result but we don't feel let down by the lads". Wilbraham. Seems fair enough. They have performed very well for a few months now in very difficult circumstances, good to see they are not going overboard because of one bad performance

I was thinking at half time of going to three at the back and putting Daniels on. Pushing on Ogbeta and Daniels down the wing. We had no width at all. Whalley, Chapman and Goss were rubbish today. Our passing today was a joke. Very poor performance and tactically not good enough. First time I’ve had to say that since Cotterill over.
