And that would be unfair.

Both clubs are really clutching at straws in making this submission. I hope it gets knocked back otherwise Torquay, Sutton, Stockport and all can kiss goodbye to promotion to the FL. Unfair, except if it was Wrexham that suffered.

On the face of it a shameful proposal. But obviously would be great if Hurst got a stay of execution and was able to manage in the football league next term.

The snake himself speaks out, I genuinely don’t think he believes what he’s saying. A complete non starter really, if it happened would surely then have to go all the way up to the Premier League and as others have said it would be completely unfair on the promoted teams. Let’s let them waste their time.

Teams from the National League, who have put all that hard work in, cannot have their promotions taken away so that those clubs who have failed in a full season can be allowed to stay in the league.
It could be the making of Hurst, starting again with getting them back in the football league next season and moving on from there, like he did before.

It’s a completely illogical non-sequitur, what they are proposing, and as others have pointed out, should then apply to all relegations and promotions in the EFL, including from the Championship to the Premier League! I’m sure Norwich and Watford will agree to it.

I'd rather they relegated the 3 National League Clubs who come bottom than allow Grimsby and Southend to get away with this one.

Payne is released from Grimsby. Ex town players Waterfall, LJL, and Hendrie (if he signs) remain under contract. They go into next season with quite a lot of players on their books though - imagine they will be spending some of their budget on paying some of them off www.grimsby-townfc.co.uk/news/2021/may/retained-list-announced/

And so I should think. It should never have been considered in the first place.

I'm glad that they've finally seen sense.

I suspect they were told there was no chance so don’t waste your money.

They must be sealed in the same B&A concrete tomb as “kopthis”.....
